  1. I'm not sure what one is the best, but we got a bunch of them out of Muskegon 2 weeks ago. 100-200 fow, North of port 2 miles.
  2. It was a great time on the days we could fish. It's too bad we had the five blow days. We will do this again next year, with the dates in line with what we had this year. For the most part things went smooth. A big Thanks to Dave and His wife Genny for their help. I'm considering a few things for next year, and will get that up later. I will take Terry and a crew member Walleye slaying this fall on Muskegon Lake for winning. I do have a few things left over that I can send to Little Buck for his second place finish (pm me). Thank You to our sponsors and participants this year. The results as I have them are. Dave has a few more stats he can add.
  3. I think next year we will have Coho and kings the same @10, and LT at 5pts. That will match the Muskegon guys. I'm considering a few other ideas to help get more involved. I will post more later.
  4. We had a bird with us for at least an hour Sat am. She even perched on our fingers. Fishing was tough. Nice job on the 4.
  5. Thank you to all that showed up. Dirty dog. Little Buck. The rest are located here.
  6. Some days, especially when the water is warm, the fish turn off by 9am. Is it possible for you to get out at sun up, or as the sun is going down? Certain patterns work better at differnt times of the year. For example; 1, Spring (may) is a primarily spoon bite. Big mag spoons to match the bait. 2, June, Lake Trout only, with metal flashers. 3, July is a combo of spoons and some flasher/fly. 4, August, flasher/flies, and plugs. Try setting you spread up the same way every time. Say, port rigger deepest and short er lead, Starboard rigger up 10' and longer lead. Divers set to run just above the riggers, and copper,/cores above the divers. When you get fish, make the adjustment to that depth. 2.8-2.9 is a good speed all the time. Troll south when possible. Most of time the fish will move deeper, and down after the sun comes up. Don't turn around just because caught a fish back there, rather keep the speed, direction, and spread the same. If the green spoon keeps going at 40' then set two, or three at that depth. The most important pc of equipment you can have is your cell phone. Stay active, and make friends. Yes, take these guys up on there offer to ride along. Finish filling out your profile, so we know what area you fish.
  7. I am still up in the air if I will make the fishing part of the event. Very busy night ahead. Regardless I will make the weigh in.
  8. I did have a brand new fly that was tied with 50# get chomped off this year.
  9. We will have to get a day closer and see what the wave forecast is. Small craft advisories mean no fishing. A 20+ mph NE wind is not any fun to fish in ether. How many boats will fit in the Holland Chanel?
