  1. That's exactly what happened to me last year setting up next to team Dirty Dog. Since I fished with him the night before, I knew what he was doing. Well I got 1, and he got 15! Frank there are a some of these event when a few of us stay at Yatch Basin Marina. If you can make it here, we would be glad to take you out. No expenses needed on my boat, but be warned I like Beer.
  2. Great looking pooch there.
  3. That's a nice area you have to fish in Rick. Welcome.
  4. I personally asked Terry to fish the league last year. I wanted his expertise to be available to all. Terry will give information to anyone that asks. I believe it's a plus to have that kind if experience in the group. I know that Terry would give anyone that ask the location, depth, lures, and all other details about where and what is working. And fyi, My son Jacob works as a First Mate during the summer.
  5. I changed the fish amount to be the same as the Muskegon guys, so yes to weighing in any 6 fish. The bfk is Saturday July 28th out of Muskegon. They are signing up now. If you plan to fish it get with Jim Six. The facebook page is here.
  6. Kevin if your nice to those guys, they will help you.
  7. The changes for this year are; 1,weigh 6 fish of any species 2, lakers @ 5 points, and coho @ 10 points 3, mystery weight for 3rd place. I changed the point system to be more inline with the MSCST guys. The Mystery weight will be determined by a card draw, and who ever is closest to that weight will win 3rd place money. 1st, 2nd, and big fish winners can not win mystery weight. This gives the teems with lesser catches to have a chance at a prize. I hope to have sponsors again this year. My plan for the sponsors is to get enough product to allow every one to use it, and have a prize for whoever gets the biggest fish on that product.

  9. I was glad we had the 20# on last year when the big boys where around.
  10. Although Ipilot is nice, not necessary for salmon trolling. A standard Minkota unit with auto pilot works just fine. The standard unit works on a compass heading. The one time I used my small boat (17' sea nymph) for Salmon trolling, we had the Minkota down with ap on, and the big motor for propulsion. It worked very nice.
  11. You can run planer rods off a Pedestal holder, but it's hard runing divers off a tree. For your boat the pedestal 3 rod holder is the way to go. You may want a tree later. Its nice when running planer rods form a holder to be able to use the duel axis holders. Ie; Traxstech, or Canon.
  12. 4 is fine, but like Jim says, Keep the outside riggers higher. Also use a longer lead on the higher riggers. A "V" pattern both Vertically, and horizontally works most of the time. When the fish are stacked up at a certain depth, don't be afraid to run all the riggers at/or near the same depth.
  13. Just get a spot light and keep it on your boat. They work great for charging spoons, and are very nice to have on board. If you are looking for another boat in the dark, a spot light is a must.

  15. It hasn't seamed to have any long term effect on these two boys.
  16. Thomas, that's great. Thanks for sharing.
  17. Very cool. Thanks for posting these.
  18. If you have 3 miles of open water on both sides of us, Than why did you have to buzz the back of our boat and cut off all 4 of our boards?
