Looks like a nice way to spend the day. More meat for the smoker.
  3. Splice a 6' pc of mono between the two, for hooking the board to. I have done the willis knot, but it is hard some times. I use an Albright not now.
  4. My foot pedal went bad also (powerdrive). I talked to the guys at Johnson Outdoors, and they gave me a new one. 616-682-4915 is there phone number. They are not there that ofter during show season. You can talk to them at the Grand Rapids show also. If that doesn't work, there is a factory repair shop here in GR.
  5. Isn't this the same boat that the tree fell on last year? The boat with 9 lives

  7. I've be known to take one for the teem now and then. Here is how it should/normally looks. Gary I have my list of flies I need, but I'm saving it till the Grand Rapids show. I look forward to seeing Karen, and the gang there.
  8. Tod, thanks for adding that. That is one of the paddles that I have not found a good fly for yet. I use the poofster on the white paddle with great results. Gary, I cleaned the empties away before the shot was taken. Yuck it up you two others, your day is coming.
  9. 250' of 32# will work nice early summer, but 350' 32# for late summer. The 250' will go about 50' down, and the 350' will go about 70' down. (350 should fill that cv55) Go see Aaron at Lakeshore tackle in Saugatuck ( or Outdoorsman) have them spool on 350' of 32#. (Aaron sells it by the foot) When you get home take 100' off. Next summer when the fish get deep, then add that 100' back on. Splicing copper is a pc of cake. It is done like this.
  10. Pretty much what these two said^^. You need to offer a prize (a desirable one) for using the product. Last year we did this 4 times. We gave everyone 2 spoons or flies, and gave a prize for the biggest fish that came on that spoon/fly.
  11. Personally I don't run a lot of meat, but I may start. I copied this, printed it, and put it in my tackle box. The Thanks go to John Tomczyk DAYBREAK CHARTERS
  12. Here is what Captain John of Day Break charters has to say.
