  1. Before your next night trip Robert, stop and get a Moonshine Green Jeans. Run it deep before sunset, and bring it up to 50-60' at dusk. Armstrongs in Whitehall should have one. Nice job on the one piggy.
  2. Depends on bait size, and time of year. mags in the spring, standards early summer, and few spoons now.
  3. Ron, try this link. http://www.anglers-experience.com/videos.php The one time I fished Burt lake after dark, I was casting buy the river channel just east of the state park. I did get a nice 3# Walleye casting a Walleye Diver, but that was back around 1995. We troll Muskegon lake after dark in the fall, and do well with Repala Huskey Jerks. We run the break lines just out side the weeds.
  4. Welcome aboard Rob. Feel free to ask any questions you have. There is plenty of help. I doubt the vibration will scare fish.
  5. I'm glad it work out Jason. Fishing in high seas is not fun.
  6. This ^^^ is what I am doing on my current setup, and really like it. I than took the heavy weights and put them on the 107s for emergency backups.
  7. Simply put. 300' of core will go down around 40' 300' of 32# copper will go down around 60' 300' of 45# copper will go down around 80' It's a mater of the depth you are targeting. This year the water is warm, and the fish are deep, so the 300' of 45# is a good choice. Last year the water was cool all year, and the core would have been fine.
  8. Here is what we do Robert. The inside diver is a store bought Mag diver (walker 124) set to 1.5, and run on a 8' pole. The outside diver is a Standard diver with a mag ring set to 2.5, and run on a 10' pole.. The mag diver has a bigger weight in it which helps it to pull down faster. The lighter out diver has the standard weight, and the mag ring, which helps it to pull out. The inside diver runs very close to 1/2 depth to line out. (100' out=50' down) The out diver runs close to 1/3 ratio. Just to be clear though, the divers will still pull way back. If you want more separation, set the low diver flat out to the side, and the high diver up one notch. Like this. The two rods in front of the riggers are divers. Most of the time we run both of the poles flat off the side at the same angle. Here is a second shot where it goes rigger, low diver, high diver, and copper line.
  9. Sounds like fun Mark. Will you and dad be in Holland this weekend?
  10. Sounds like a great time. We will be there.
