Byron, welcome to the site. Hopefully some guys from that area will chime in. Here in the West Michigan the Coho start showing up in good numbers late in August. There are plenty of Chinook around now.
The fishing has been great with few if any flies. The boat my son is working on in Grand Haven has been pulling 10-20 fish every trip. Big paddles, green Ace Hi's, and Green Jeans Moonshine. 120-170 fow, 70' down early. and 100-140 mid morning. The got 2 at 18, and 1@ 20.5 last Saturday.
As of now, no. We plan to fish the Sagutuck Waypoint, and I did not find anyone to fill in. Bad weather, lower intrest, and loads of work this year, put a damper on the league. If any one would like to run it, let me know.
The Holland Big Red is by far the most enjoyable tournament we have fished so far. Great food, great environment, and a nice sense of community. Thanks go out to the committee.
