  1. My boat is a 20' Tiara. It can be towed with a 1/2 ton truck, and handles the water just fine. The way it is set up the cost is around 5.5-6.5k. Shy away fron older Bayliners, and older boats with OMC outdrives (the white ones). What is your budget? My boat.

    Nice looking Boat Don.
  3. Nice big fish there Ed.
  4. Welcome aboard Pat. What do you plan to use the boat for? Glass is nice on the big lake, but most like Aluminum for the smaller lakes.
  5. Great stuff there Kyle. I moved it over to the Video section.
  6. Andy and Gary, Welcome to the site. Andy, it will get better. A lot of times when every one else is getting fish an you are not, it can be a speed issue. Find a porcupine (boat with lots of rods out) and match his speed. I like to run 2.8-2.9 on the Gps. Generally troll direction is best going South in that area. If I was going out, I would set up deep going North, and turn and go South/South East as prime time rolls around. It is best to be going South durring prime time (prime time is just after the sun hits the water). The water really got messed up last week, and the lake is in the process of setting back up. Next time out try motoring out to 70 fow, put the boat on a SW troll till you start hitting fish, then stay in that zone. Jplugs/Ace Hi plugs have been really good lately. Find a Green with Black Ladder Back Ace Hi and it will get fish for you. Any pictures of the new to you boat?
  7. I have both the insulated, and the non insulated. They are worth every penny I paid for them.
  8. This is my first attempt at video editing using CS5.5 Premier Pro I don't have the cool effects, and music yet, but I'm old, and a slow learner. We where fishing up in Whitehall, and in this 33 minutes we had 12 hits. Steve was farming them left and right. I condensed it down. Next time I will load it in hd. If you watch it full screen on Utube you will see Steves (oldest dude) Starboard Rigger Steelhead jump 3 times before getting off. And when he is fighting the fish that hit when he was holding the pole, the Port diver takes a hit, but dosen't hook up. Steve was holding the pole waiting for me to put the board on when a king hit the plug.
  9. 124s will run shallow if needed, and will get you deep when needed. I use 124 all the time.
  10. Wish I was out there instead of working today. I was working on the lakeshore, and it looked nice. Thanks for the update Bill.
  11. No doubt Ludington is a great port to go to over Labor day.
  12. Stop in and speek with Brian at the Pentwater angler. He will have up to date reports.
  13. I think the water can get too cold also. Nice job on the fish you got.
  14. Did the water warm up way out there?
