  1. Time for a road trip Jon?
  2. Those are some great fish. You are getting very good at editing these videos William. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Sorry, What I ment to say was; The Cannons are very nice, but they are also very pricey. (there is no link to cannons) These Fish on ones are built much like the Big Jon holders. They do not have the tip up feature, but you will not find a better rod holder for the money. The cannon holders will run you around $800 +-, where the Fishon holder are around $260. It all depends on your budget.
  4. Bob, I love my Canon rod holders, but they where very pricy. The first thing you should do while they are still on sale is; pick up some of these that are linked in this tread. I bought some for my small boat, and they are nice. These would slide into the current track, and would give you the option to run 2 divers, 1 high line, 1 diver- 2 high line, or 3 high lines. Redoing seats is very pricy. I had my Tiara (very much like yours) seats redone list year, and it cost me $970
  5. I had braid a while back, and found that it got week after a few years. I started looking rigger weights, and took it off.
  6. I like the idea for deep cranks run way behind the boat.
  7. Great stuff there Justin.
  8. My spread generally consist of All spoons in the spring/early summer (or cold water). Summer it will have ; Paddles/flies on riggers, and inside divers, Spin doctors on out divers, and spoons, or plugs on long lines (copper/core) When the fish are extra deep (over 100') we use flashers/flies). My spring/early summer spread is set up in a V pattern, with the riggers deepest, and closest to the boat, divers up and back next, then long lines higher, and back farther. In warm water if the fish are in only one zone, we target that zone with everything. Welcome to the site Rod.
  9. Nice action Brian.
  10. After seing the original post, I ordered a set of these for my Walleye boat. I am very impressed with the build on theses. They also have a nice finish, and no rubber caps to fall off.
  11. Nice write up Dave.
  12. Nice start Steve.
  13. Good luck. It's a great time of the year to be down there. Tailing Redfish are very spooky, so take your time when approaching them.
  14. My, how times have changed. Cool stuff. Thanks for finding this Matt.
  15. Just my opinion here. I believe it's more about the way a spread is presented than the color of an individual component. Your spread should change as the season progresses.
  16. Jamey, are you looking strictly at boats with outboards? What kind of price range are you looking to be in? Speaking from experience, a 20-22' boat is not big enough to sleep 2-3 on comfortably.
  17. Jeff, I checked with Jim and he suggested, Steve Gibson. His number is 941-265-5833 he owns Shallow Pockets Fishing
  18. Snow and Steel. Ya gota love it! Nice job Mike.
  19. Darl, welcome to the site. What ever you do, don't use bleach to clean them. Lemon Joy is a good cleaner.
  20. Mike really put it well. The Pursuit will give you the best ride, followed by the Grady, then the Islander. The Pursuit, and Grady are both walk-arounds. Do you need a walk-around? The Islander will float higher in the water, and tend to bob around in rough conditions, but will give you the best economy. Welcome to the site Jamey.
  21. Some nice Eyes there Ed.
  22. Nice pile of Eyes
  23. Jim Vanpelt may be able to help you fine a Kayak guide in that area. We fished with him around Pine Island. Find a guide that uses Hobie Kayak's. They are %100 hands free, with foot pedals. Jims Site Jims Email Tell him Nailer sent you, and he should be able to recommend someone in the Sarasota area.
  24. The power handles from Tuna Tom for the Diawa Great Lakes 47LC are a must.
  25. I have always like the brass lures with some sorta of red on it for pike
