  1. I consider myself to have a good flash/fly presentation, and agree %100 with these two statements. I happen to have my 11" paddles hanging here with me, so here's a shot of them. White with some sorts mirage is my favorite. A few of the oddballs have there place in the day.
  2. Very cool Austin. Thanks for the update.
  3. I run 4 wire divers most all times out. I use the Blood run wire. I started with the 19 Torpedo, but had to many failures. Rods and reels will depend on the budget, and the amount you fish. The best are the Tekota 600 lc reels, and Talora roller rods from Shimano. The Okuma Blue Diamond rods, and Convector 30d lc is a nice setup, with a much lower cost. What ever you do, put the full roll of 1,000' of wire on the the reel. Welcome to the site Ray. What port do you fish out of?
  4. Fishing, and the forums has taken a back seat lately. The work load this year is huge, and getting bigger. (65 hours this week). I will let Jon run the league and do my best to attend/help.
  5. As a rule spoons work better in cold water, and flies take off good when the water is warm/hot. What works on this side of the lake may not be as hot on your side. A lot of the time when we have warm water, you have cooler water, and vise versa. When we get warm water, I like flasher/fly on all the close lines (4 divers,2riggers), and plugs or spoon on all the long lines. I will change that if we are fishing the evening. Then The glow spoons go on after the sun sets. BTW, I almost always run 2.8-2.9 sog wether I am fishing flasher/flies, or spoons (thats if the current is not ripping).
  6. Even though he is in collage, he is still a kid in my book. It's great to see him enjoying the great outdoors. thanks for sharing Ed.
  7. Your going to want to get some core/copper setups also. I don't know much about Lake C. but when the fish are the top 80-20' they can be targeted with Core, and copper setups.
  8. Darl, Welcome aboard. Ludington is a great port, with lots of fish. If you need help, just ask away. There are plenty of salmon for all, and we will gladly help you get your share.
  9. Shawn, Welcome to the site. Take a moment and finish filling out your profile. Where are you fishing for land locked fish? How deep do you need to go to get the lakers? A 10# weight is good for around 60-80'. I use 12#, and 15# here on lake Mi. The 12# are nice down to 110-130'.
  10. The lake i live on here in Caledonia (Campbell) still has pockets of open water.
  11. I think Duke wants to be a steel retriever. Thanks for sharing
  12. The first ice is now forming on the lake I live on here is west Mi.
