  1. Very Nice S.Q. How big did the big one go? I see in the Detour Salmonfest http://www.detourvillage.com/ a fish over 20 was landed. Things may be looking up.
  2. Nice job guys. i bet the kids had fun.
  3. Welcome, Snaggle. I love walleye fishing also but, there's nothing the pull of a nice King.
  4. Paulywood says it perfectly. If or when you use Lead/Copper put it on a Church board and get it off to the side. It likes to tangle with the rigger fish if it's run down the pike. They really excel when the fish are shallow in the water column (down 25-45')
  5. Nice job guys on the big Kings!
  6. The bungee trick works great.
  7. My down speed will often be .8 to 1.0 slower than my sog. I think my cannon speed and temp reads slow. If I went 2.5 with it, I would not be able to hold the dippseys from releasing.
  8. Nice job Jim. The Outdorsman in Jenison sells Owner hooks by the 25 or 50 pack. It's a great investment. They really hold the fish on.
  9. Boltman, welcome. Our best rig by far this wear hes been the divers with a flasher/fly combo. From the dippsey use a 6-10' leader to the flasher and a 22" lead to the fly. White/green flasher and a Sigs Mountain Dew fly is killer. The coyote flasher in this pic has worked wonders but, they are hard to find. Ken.
  10. Nice job on getting some fish for your out of town friend Mark.
  11. I'm going to give it a fair chance this weekend off the low rigger back 30-50' thanks for the reply.
  12. I have had no luck at all this year running spinner/flys of the ball this year. Most of the time I keep the lead in the 10' range. Is that pretty typical? If I run them on my out riggers (the higher rigger) they tend to tangle with the cable on the inside rigger. We have had great luck running them off the divers. Where do most of you that run them in your spread run them? Thanks, Ken.
  13. I bought a Cannon speed and temp this year. It dose work good and, it has % of light at the ball. the bad things about it are; you need to disconnect the battery every time, and it hooks to the line in a goofy way. I have found my best down speed is around 1.8 to 2.0. Does this sound correct? Ken.
  14. Wow. The Browns sure do look nice.
  15. Have they been getting any fish at Detour? We will be up there before the labor day weekend. Thanks. Ken.
  16. Great job, That looks like a happy crew.
  17. Nice Adam. Looks like the crew had fun.
  18. I only had my son this morning so, we went past Muskegon to WhiteHall. We set up in 60' south of the channel and headed west (most of the boats where out at 100'). we took the first fish on the wire diver back 60' with the yellow tail Coyote and Sigs Mountain Dew fly. the next on came at 95' on a 250' copper rig with the NK purple spoon. a nice 15+ pound king. The wire diver took two more rips with the fish getting off 1/2 up.(I pulled that rig to find the line had lodged in between the shanks and was running backwards). We got a nice Steelhead in 110' running along side a scum line on the wire diver back 120' with the same flasher fly combo. headed in at 10:00.
  19. We found plenty of fish in 35-45 fow North of the channel over the weekend.
  20. Saturday is good for us.
  21. Welcome Aboard Tuna. Sorry I can't help with the question.
