  1. Sounds like fun. Nice job guys.
  2. A lot of the peer guys use casting spoons, like a Hopkins spoon.
  3. I think it's a good idea. It would be nice to see the classified area get used more.
  4. I get invited every year to deer camp near Grand Marais. I generally decline. After 2-3 days sitting in the woods and not seeing anything, Dear Camp becomes Drinking Camp. Quite frankly my head can't handle a week of Drinking Camp. It's way cheaper, and easer to just buy a side of Beef.
  5. I just talked with a friend that spent a week hunting with his group near Big Bay. Of the group, for the week they saw; 3 deer and 5 wolves. The 5 wolves where chasing a Doe.
  6. Nice work out there Jim.
  7. Husky Jerks and super rouge's.
  8. I had the opportunity to take my daughter Krista out Sunday night. Her first two Walleye of her life where twin 5+ ponders. here's one of them. Monday night Cousin Brent joined me and landed this nice 10 pounder. Brent also landed this nice 7 pounder.
  9. Nice job on the Gills Terry. Yum, Yum.
  10. Welcome aboard Nick. It's great to have a few more Walleye guys.
  11. Nice job on the Eye's John. Welcome aboard also.
  12. I have some and used then. I had no better luck with them. I actually had bad luck with them. I could be I was running them in the wrong depth though.
  13. Great job Jason, ya gotta love November fishing.
  14. Nice job Tom! sounds like a great day.
  15. Cousin Ryan and I spent a long night chasing the Eyes after work Friday. The end result turned out pretty good. The The fish ranged in size from 2.1-9.6 pounds. The little one is 18" I generally throw the big ones back, but Ryan has 3 Teenage Boys that love to eat them.
  16. Nice work out there Steve. Looks like a happy customer.
  17. Once again, Nice work out there Dan. It looks like that fall program is working well.
  18. Very cool Drew. Looks like a blast.
  19. My son Jacob asked if we could go hunting tonight. This is the first he wanted to go since the youth hunt two years ago. After work tonight I got him every thing he needed, and headed to the farm at 4:30. The plan was to sit in cousin Ryan's blind till dark. When we got to the farm Ryan's truck was there. I decided instead of tromping around, we would just sit with him. Not more than 30 minutes into the hunt Jake spots three deer eating in the field next to us. After a bit one of the deer walks our way. It is a nice doe that has a broken front leg. He didn't want to shoot a doe, but with a permit in hand, I thought we should try to take her. She walks up to 30 yards and faces us. I told Jake to put the bead on her head, drop down to the chest, and pull the trigger. BANG! FLOP! The lucky little $hit missed her chest and hit her square in her head. This boy has been hunting two times now, for a total of 4 hours max. He has gotten a buck and a doe already. That's one lucky kid, and he turns 15 next week. I left the camera home, so no pics.
  20. Robert, can you post a link where you get that info. I looked but couldn't find it.
  21. I did here a guy talking at gander mountain, who said they where just starting to show up. He got a few, and saw a lot of them surfacing. Any time from now too the next two weeks should be good.
  22. Awesome Man Cave you have there Mike. Yea, and nice looking Boat.
  23. To many places to go an not enough time to do it. We made a fall trip there last year, but did not have that kind of luck.
