  1. I feel your itch. We finished up installing the rod holders, and rod trees yesterday. Buying a new boat in the fall makes for a long winter.
  2. Bob, it would be mostly a late summer presentation. I doubt it would work any better than a meat rig or fly/flasher combo, or even a J-plug.
  3. Great idea Frank. Jon I have a few things i need from Tuna, let's get them together and save the shipping.
  4. Very nice Justin. I hope all goes well with your operation.
  5. Thank you much. Theses really help the long winter blues.
  6. Ed, that's fantastic for Veronica and you. Here's a big celebration for Veronica
  7. Great catch, and story Nick. It was fantastic that you had the camera along and showed all of us what beautiful fish they are.
  8. As long as there is not a bunch of fleas in the water, the divers will run fine together. When the sea fleas get abundant, they tend to collect on the braid and pull it back. When the braid get's covered and pulls back, it can get tangled with the low diver. Wire doesn't tend to be bothered by the sea fleas as much.
  9. I have asked this question a few times, the response is a 50-50 mix. Copper is a bit more temperamental, but it is much stronger. You will never break off 45 pound copper. Personally I have 4 copper setups and 4 core setups. Copper runs deeper, but likes to backlash more. The coated copper is much better, than the non coated. What I have noticed when letting out copper was, in shallower water it would sink to the bottom and hook mussels before the board pulled it out.
  10. Welcome Jonas. We would all love to see some Fish Porn.
  11. Very cool Dan. He was probably hungry.
  12. Wow, those lake O's Kings are big! This Porn is sure helping the winter blues.
  13. Bob, welcome to the site. I have not seen him here yet.
  14. Nice job Matt. The gills around here have stopped biting.
  15. They look like they would work.
  16. Good advice Tim. My wire divers are always set at 1.5. If the fish are at the depth you need 300' of 45 pound copper, than you are going to want the divers that deep or more. 300' of copper will run down to 80+', My wire diver would be 175-190' to get below that. The glory of a wire diver with a mag diver set at 1.5 is; they run close to %50 of line out. A good copper depth chart.
  17. Josh, Thanks for the support. Robert, with better weather this year, those numbers will go way up.
  18. I have not used the artificial yet, but did have luck with the salted strips.
  19. I also love the wire mag diver. I use the Walkers, and never really had trouble finding them. I did buy some mag rings for the Lure Jensen divers at Gander GR.
