I still have the old stuff, but when I fished with Phil (plumkrazy) last year, he had it. The coated (super) works so much nicer than the old. When it's time to replace, the super's going on.
Mike, Spoons or Plugs (spoons in the spring-plugs late summer) is all we run off the copper. There are plenty that run flasher/fly off copper, but whenever I do I end up with twisted line.
Kevin, the one thing I see wrong with your plan is: All the guys fishing the Muskegon area (Muskegon has a bunch!) need to come way back to Grand Haven. Port Sheldon and Grand Haven are close together, Do you need weigh in's at both? It sounds like a great idea.
There's been some discussion on other treads as to how much leader behind the core/copper we all have. Personally I start the season with a 30' +- leader, and retie when it gets below 10' +- . What is your preference?
