  1. The advantage of in lines is; you can keep them in the order they belong in. IE, when running three lines per side, the shortest goes to the outside and longest/deepest stays closest to the boat. After a fish is netted on a particular rod, it can be put back to it's spot. The answer is yes thought. You can run copper/core off a big board.
  2. Wow! Some one has way too much time/money on there hands. Sure looks cool.
  3. Sounds like fun Duane.

  7. Here's the way I set my 4 copper rigs up. 450' of braid, 10' of 40 pound mono, copper to fit, 30' 20 pound mono leader. I use an albright knot on all the connections. When I tie an algright knot, I tape the larger diameter line to my desk. This makes it much easier. (click on link to see knot) The 10' of 40 pound mono is there to hook the board to. You could use 30, but 40 is what I had.
  8. Keep us posted on how it works.
  9. Ande makes good line.
  10. Dan, a pic of the boat may help, if you have one.
  11. Any rod will work. It doesn't need rollers. Although rods with big eyelets are nicer. A lot of guys like the shorter (7') rods, because it makes removing the planer easier. 450' braided backer in the 30-50 pound range is good. I stick a 6' pc of 30 pound mono between the braid and copper to attach the board to. If you can't get the full 300' on there, than just put what you can. Here's a few older post to read. #1 #2 Welcome aboard. There are many that like to help. When you get out this year, bring the camera. We love seeing those Lake O Kings.

  22. Prior to buying the Tiara, I never needed boat Insurance, but now I'm thinking I should have it. Do most of you use a company like Boat U.S. Marine Insurance, or just add it to the home owners/Auto?
