  1. That Mountain Dew SD with Siggs Fly, ROCKS! It took 1/2 of you fish! Did your friend go out and buy a boat the next day?
  2. For the most part. This year we haven't has any cold water from a North/East wind.
  3. Lakers tend to be deep. Run the spoons 30-60' behind the ball. after lowering the ball, tighten the line up as tight as possible with out releasing it. Divers pull hard, so that is normal. Run a spoon 6-8' behind that. Don't bother with and flashers for now. Troll about 2.5-2.7 mph. on the gps. And WELCOME!
  4. Nice job Jess. How deep is the water there? Walleye at 65' down. Wow.
  5. Same water, same results as all summer long. Some nice big fish there Phil, Adam, and Jim.
  6. Very nice Bob. What depth of water did the fish finely come at?
  7. Best looking fish in the lake. Nice looking fish Guys.
  8. Enjoy the time your there, weather it's with old friends or new. Never look forward to getting off the lake.
  9. Of all I've seen. This is the one that is tops on my list:o
  10. I have gotten a few really simple, but great tips this year from fellow fisherman. After hearing them you smack your head, and say; how simple is that. I would like to see some tips from the old pros, for all the guys that are new to this. I have a few of my own, but the most productive one was; When you have a hot setup, duplicate it as much as you can.
  11. Yes. it will. The real premade strips work well also. We ran them in Ludington last year with descant results. A good flasher/fly set up will work just as well though, and you don't have to deal with the stink, and mess.
  12. Strong currents and rough seas takes the fun out of fishing. Thanks for the update Erie.
  13. Sounds like a sticky shutter?
  14. Sounds like a very good productive spread. Nice work out there Mike.
  15. Think of this another way Dave. Practically anything will catch a Salmon. Back in the day my friend put a purple nightcrawler on a cleo and caught a small Salmon. The best way to constantly get Salmon. is to find a few setups that work, and duplicate them. If your green lure keeps getting hit, than stick a green lure on all your poles. If that blue Bubble keeps going than duplicate it on the other side. You get the point? I talked with Don from Tangled Mess charters earlier this year, and he said he had Green Dolphin mags on all his stuff. Why, because they where going. We won the WMFL tourney last Saturday doing just that. My Mountain Dew Flasher/fly has been hot, so I got three more, and all of them took fish. There is no reason to put a spoon behind a flasher when a fly is more productive. One other thing Don said was, leave your hot setup on through the slow times. Then when the fish get active again, you have your best stuff out.
  16. Lets not make this a slam Dan tread guys. Dan had a few disagreements, now he is gone.
  17. I hope the legs hold out. Good luck Joe. The Loins have been hard to watch for most of my life.
