  1. Welcome Dave. First off what port/area will you be closest to? There are a few guys here that are very good at the fall Steel program. Most notably Tangled Mess It may be worth you time to take a charter with him.
  2. Grant, my BIL was out this morning and went 3 for 5 in 85 fow. We did not talk many details, but he said the full core was good, as well as the diver and f/f. He was by himself. so only 3 rods. If I where you I would start a bit south of port and troll down to little sable point in that 80-90 fow. SOG= 2.5-2.8.
  3. Thanks for sharing Eric. Looks like a great time.
  4. Nice looking water there Josh. We haven't seen that in quite a while.
  5. Jim the speed on the FF is 1.91 sog. Is that from a wheel on the transducer? Are you using a gps? What speed are you trolling on your gps? Nice mix of fish there.
  6. It has to stop sooner or later It was not fun for us Saturday either.
  7. There was a sponsor advertising here on the site. Mike used them when he was in Muskegon.
  8. Nothing like a nice mess of Perch. Thanks for the update.
  9. Thanks for sharing these Captain Chris. Them are some giant reds.
  10. The lake has not been friendly lately. Thanks for the update John.
  11. That last pic. is from an earlier trip. I put it up for the diver shot.
  12. Normally we run them in the next hole down, but the lake was so rough they where in the water more than out. I have no troubles running them both in the same position. Most of this summer our divers have been In divers and Out divers, rather than High and Low. We have been targeting the same zone with both divers. This shot better shows the divers in there normal spots.
  13. Yes Jim, both of the forward rods are divers. Back one is a 8.5' wire and the out/high is a 10' wire. These two rods take the majority of our fish. We normally would run 2 Copper lines on the trees you see in front of them. Today there was just Jake and I, so we went with 4 divers and 2 riggers. I must say, The top and side curtains really came in handy today. One more.
  14. Sounds like a great feature. Steve, when are you going to BDN? It's a great chunk of water. Bring us back a good story.
  15. What can you say, but it was rough. Jake and I went North and started by Duck Lake. We put her on a South troll in 85-95 fow. The first King came off the low diver with a White Paddle and Oceania Fly, 11 .6pounds The next 4 got off, ether at the net or shortly after biting:mad::mad:. With just two of us on the boat, and extrema conditions, that happens. Here's a shot of what the lake looked like.
  16. Mount the launchers by the "r" in Islander (or V in 195V). The farther forward the better.
