  1. Great pic. Matt. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Phil, you where correct in your statement. In the West Mi. ports where op (Dave) fishes. We have way less than your side. Now up North along the points, it's very sharp!
  3. Josh, you can call him and get a quote. The drags he uses are much better than the manufacture uses. You can order and do the drags yourself, or send them in. They are easy on the convectors. When Tom dose a repair/drags, he goes through every part of the reel, and fixes any worn part. If you want, he will disconnect the auto engage that convectors have. He adds a line pin to all the reels he work on also. I believe it's in the $30 range. Tuna Toms web site.
  4. From this year. Was taken from ether the low diver, or the low rigger. A crop of just the fly. It's a Siggs Rigs fly.
  5. Where both after that same thing. There is a state record fish coming from that lake one of these days. Nice shots Tim.
  6. Yes that ^^^ That part of his book isn't a big factor here in W.M. There is a bit of a break when you come out of Port Sheldon, and go south. It starts in 70 fow.
  7. Vote 4 on the convectors and 1000' of Blood Run.
  8. Sounds like it's time for a road trip!
  9. Mary, copy the address of your site, highlight the word that you want to make clickable, then hit the globe with the oval under it (its under the smiley face), then past it there.
  10. Jim I have the two sitting side by side. Yes they are the same size with the big ring, but when I put them on the scale, the lj weighs .352 lb, and the Walker weighs .617 lb. BTW, my LJ diver will run at 1 to 3 ratio (1 down for 3 out) set at 2.5 with the big ring, off a wire rig.
  11. Call me crazy, obsessed, or just plane nuts!, but I want a 14 pounder. Muskegon Lake open up after the weekend warm spell, and the boys wanted to try it, so I said sure. The air temp was 31 deg. The water temp was 32.4 deg. and the sky was snowing, and blowing! Unfortunately the fish where not snapping as I had hoped. We landed 3 Walleye, as well as 1 pike. Two where twin 8 ponders, and the other a 3 pounder. The boat now sits in the barn covered in ice, snow, and road slush. I believe we are done for the season.
  12. Welcome aboard Rodfather.
  13. Jim, if you going to setup a wire diver, get 2-124 walker divers, set them at 1. They will dive at a rate of %50 of your line out.
  14. 450' is not really enough. The last time I bought braid, I got a bulk spool of Rip Cord from Cabela's. It comes in 1000 yard spools. That's enough to do two diver rods, and a few core backers. 600' min on the diver rod. I would go with no less than 30#. 40# would be better. When a big girl hits and snaps the line, your out $40+-. We switched all 4 of our diver rods to wire last year. I really like the way wire cuts through the water. Use a Albright Knot to tie Mono to Braid. Wrap the braid, not the mono.
  15. Rick, welcome aboard. This area will help you out. Click here Btw, 3 rod tree is a good setup.
  16. Franks is the only one I've seen with a lower price. http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/fishing/reels/trolling/tekota-800.html
  17. We look forward to seeing you this year at the WMFL events Steve. I got a feeling it's going to be a good year for you.
  18. Where limited to 5 in our profile gallery. Use the site gallery located next to the Home on the top left of this page. See where it says images 108 for me (under my name), that's where they will go.
  19. Thanks guys. The first 4 where taken with a Canon 40D SLR The last two where with a 1D SLR. Different lenses on these. The key to good shots, is to use flash. On a daylight shot, the flash will match the ambient light, thus getting rid of shadows from the sun. (although most of these where not flashed) Great looking yellow belly Adam.
  20. I was going through shots from this year, and deleting the bad ones. These are a few of the ones I really like. .
  21. Adam. I want to be you when I grow up;). Welcome aboard, I'm sure we can all learn a thing or two from you.
