  1. It was only Jon and I for the day. We started 3 miles or so North of the peir, and went North/South from there. the best depth for us was 140-150 fow. The stuff targeting 50-60 down produced all the fish. Finished the day going 8/8 with 6 kings, 1 laker and a Steel head. The first 1.5 hours produced 7 of the eight, mostly on glow lures.
  2. Brenda, Welcome to the site. Nice job on the fish!
  3. Some nice fish there Mike. And the doll, well that's a bonus!
  4. Read this tread on how to put up pictures Scott. Jacob is working as a first mate for Can't Miss charters next weekend, so I had to call in the reinforcements.
  5. Run your low diver on a 1 setting, and the high diver on a 2-2.5 setting. I really like the 124 walked divers. Min. of 6', but up to 8' of 40# mono from diver to flasher. Try to match the fly to the flasher. 8" flashers use 21-24" Fly leader, 11" flasher use a 36-40" Fly leader. When I run 2 divers per side, the low will have a 11", and the high will have a 8" flasher. Running both divers down to the same depth is ok. If your going to stager the depth, than run the inside one deeper. These two combos of F/F produced a lot of fish last year. The 11" where from Big Weenie, and the 8" where from Siggs Rigs. Big Weenie has combo rigs that work great. These two look like true winners. I agree %100 on keeping the shoot open. Spoons, and Ace Hi plugs are good on the cores/coppers.
  6. It was just Jake and I for an evening bounce about. Nice big rollers kept us busy resetting the divers. Started in 140 strait out and fished with the waves going North. Finished in 70 fow in front of Duck Lake. The best water was 3 miles north of Muskegon in 140 fow. Ended 5 for 7 with 1 Steel and the rest small Kings. 60' down produced the best.
  7. Scott, Welcome to the posting side. Nice job on the fish. Any pictures of the new boat yet?

  14. 14 for 25. Sounds like the Holland fish moved over to Milwaukee! Great mixed bag of fish Josh.
  15. You have 8 rod's to play with, but the prizes go to the big fish from provided lures. Both flies look like they will work good behind a white, green holo, or Mountain Dew flasher. I will post the BLL when I get them.
  16. I would like to leave the dock by 5:45. Arrangements can be made for late comers. I can be reached by cell any time at 616-460-4900
  17. $30.00 I believe that's to your door? Check here. 300' goes a long way. It seams a bit pricey, but I have yet to break it off. I was using 20# Fluoro fishing line last year, and it kept breaking. When it breaks say good by to a nice king, as well as a productive lure.
  18. Entry fee will be $15 + $5 for big fish= $20 Pay out will be 1st %50, 2nd %30, and 3rd %20 Set lines at 6am, and pull them at noon. I will be at the launch by 5am. Both the Flies, and Lures are top notch stuff. There will be a competition for big fish from both manufactures. The big fish on the (provided) Big Lake Lures will receive a certificate for $50 to their web store. The big fish on the (provided) Big Weenie fly's will receive a F/F combo and hat from BW. Use the black ties for you BW fish, and White zips for the BLL fish. There will be $50 gift card from Powerhorn Guns and Archery in Holland also that will be handed out. Take a moment to say thanks to both BW, BLL and Powerhorn Gun and Archery. BLL on Facebook. BW web site. PHG&A on Facebook
  19. Leaders for spoons on divers can be 12' of 30# fluoro Leader line. For flashers on divers, than 7-8' of 40 pound Mono, or Fluoro. For core or copper, 30' 30# fluoro. We use the 30# Blood Run Fluorocarbon. It's made by the same plant that makes Seaguar, and comes in 300' spools. Do not use Fluorocarbon fishing line for your leaders.
  20. Nice to hear back from you Captain Bill.
  21. Skunks always suck, but you had a nice Saturday Night.
  22. Nice finish there Josh. How did you do in the 333 tourney?
