  1. If we have enough interest we can do a make up event Saturday the 20th of August. The event would go out of Holland DNR launch, and be from 6-noon. Or we can do a fun event, sort of a meet and greet event, or a combo of wmfl, and meet and greet. Cook out perhaps? What I would like to know is; who would be interested in ether, or both?
  2. Get rid of the crap that keeps breaking.
  3. 20# mono no leader. 25-35' leads.
  4. So did you stop by any wind mills to recharge it Kevin?
  5. The 30 and 40# Blood Run fluorocarbon I'm using is the toughest line I have ever seen. Too bad on the Vanish. It just plane sucks paying top dollar for junk.
  6. Great fish there Ed.
  7. You where correct Phil. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 775 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING We will not fish Sunday! I am thinking about next Saturday doing a make up event and, or fun event/meet and greet type thing.
  8. What is NOAA thinking when they post 20-25 kts winds and 1-2' waves? When ever has a 20 kts wind only produced a 2' wave? My son Jacob is on the lake now, and he says it's 3-5 with the occasional 6' thrown in. with wind speeds of 15 kts.
  9. Wind speeds as I type this are 21 Kts at Holland pear, 25 kts mid lake, and a big storm moving across the lake from the North. The massage from Captain Don I received a bit ago was "its blowing like a bitch here". At this point all we can do is hope for better on Sunday. Sorry all but 4' waves are just not safe for our small boat fisherman.
  10. Silver Streak, like all my lures get a sharpen. The only hook I have found that doesn't need sharpening is the ones Big Weenie flies uses. I have never had a SS mag hook get straightened, or broke. I have broke a few of the Minnie's though. It's my belief the Silver Streak spoons have the best action.
  11. Great looking fish there Captain John.
  12. Set lines no sooner than 6am, and pull them at noon. weigh in will be at the Cobo launch parking lot around 1:30, or when were all in. It dose take a bit longer to get out to the big lake from the launch. 8 rod max. $15 + $5 for big fish = $20. I do have some Yogurt Flies to give away at the weigh in. There should be enough for 2 apiece. Our top three boat will be competing against the MSCST top 3. As of now that will be; 1, Dirty Dog 2, Financial Aid. 3, Dave ash, If Financial Aid can't make it then Little Buck will be our 3rd guy. We will use our weigh in system for the competition. Fishsniffer made a great looking trophy for the event. We will fish in the rain but, not in T Storms, or Small Craft advisories. Lets hope the weather holds.
  13. Weather looks great in the picture. Good luck finding the big one.
