Hello Everyone, I'm looking for information on gps's I'm going to purchase a new one this winter what I am asking is who has what and any pros or cons about the unit I only want a GPS unit not a combo. Thanks for any help

Fished again this morning it was a better day then yesterday went 16 for 21, 12 KINGS, 4 COHO'S caught fish on lead and plugs and fish as deep as 135 down in 240-300 fow all fish came on plugs, meat, flies, didn't run any spoons in the last two days we still have some great fishing ahead if the weather holds. GOOD FISHING The date on the first post was 09/08/07:)

Had a trip today a group of 4 went 14 for 16, 12 kings, 2 cohos half came on black mamba with clear red with orange herring the others came on plugs had a great day after yesterdays blow. Fished 220-230 fow 90 -115 down was best had 70 on top and 67 down 100 but the fish were there 4 fish came on lead core 10-13 colors will be back out in the morning. all fish looked good most kings were adults.

We fished this morning and went 14-20, 12 kings, 1 laker, 1 coho great morning in manistee we will be fishing again in the morning GOOD LUCK FISHING

Depends when your coming this why right now there are no nets north of the 15's but there is word of 4 more nets going in that would make of total of 21. I'm fishing this evening and in the morning but fishing has been good I talk to a capt today he got 20 fish this morning let me know where your going to be here and i can help.Good Fishing

Welcome Daddyo: You will like it here I think its alot better then some of the other sites. You have a good point in this statement(And for those that hunt, camp, and snowmobile, the tribe is coming after your rights there as well.) I haven't been here that long but it is a great site.

As of yesterday there is no nets north of manistee but I'm sure that will change if your fishing in manistee area keep our eyes open for current net locations go to www.fishmanistee.com but please becareful they do move them.

The good news: The enforcement boat is back in operation they got some gas money. The bad news : There putting 4 more nets out not sure were but I would say north only time will tell.

You can google chippewa ottawa resource authority Hope this helps, as far as fines and penalties they enforse there own and right now they don't have a patrol boat because it cost too much for gas.

update:There was a meeting on the evening of 7/9/07. Netters, and other interested parties were there. 10 to 12 new trap nets are in the plans for Arcadia was said. It looks like its going to get worst so keep your eyes open:angry2:

Anyone planning on fishing manistee we have 17 nets now from manistee down to the point they have removed the ones up to the north Please be careful

1. 20# Maxima on rigger rods when running spoons 2. 30# Ande on rigger rods when running meat rigs and flashers 3. I put rings on all spoons 4. I won't go no less then 15# in July- Aug

Well the tribal police enforcement boat has been stop because of cost of running it so now it is a free for all for the netters there is no one looking over there operation.So far every thing there said there were going to do hasn't happen it will not get any better.

We been running about 14 Miles out we had a good break out there but that has now gone, if your planning on fishing manistee remember we now have alot of nets we have 16 of them from big sable point to just north of manistee as far as fishing for kings, july and aug are your best months out in the big lake. Had a trip today 2 person charter went 9/12 3 kings, 3 steelhead, 3 lakers,all came in the top 40 in 650-730fow all on spoons anything green or orange. Good Luck Fishing

Had A trip today went 10/13 had to go way out 17-18 miles out 600-700 fow top 45 all on spoons mixed bag we caught all species the fish are here you just have to go way out to get them. Good Luck

Who every thinking about fishing there is a new net at 14.8 from 80fow to 140 fow I saw this net yesterday. So if your going to fish this port keep your eyes on the water and wait till daybreak. This net is marked well. Good Luck

I am using the convevtor 55 also with no problems you can get 200 yds of mono backing and 300 ft. of 45 copper, just set up a pflueger G50SH non-levelwind put power-pro backing and 200 ft of 45 copper I wasn't sure about the non-levelwind but it worked great we took 4 fish on this setup saturday hope this helps.

I have over 20 years experience fishing the greatlakes michigan and huron I've been watching this site it seems to be well managed compaired to someothers.
