Launched at 5:30. Set lines down in 50' and trolled 50-60 for a couple of hours. Ended up 9-13. All good eater sized fish. Had a couple 7# and the rest 4-5#. Probably caught 6 or 7 in that 50-60 then moved out to 70-100. Had 3 hits on the green glow Tomic plug off a rigger 40 down. Caught the rest of the fish on glow spoons off 5, 7, and 10 color leadcore. 10 color was the most productive. Had one good rip on the dipsey with a fasher green fly, but soon got off. Had to leave by 10am so we didn't hang around for the elusive 10th fish. All in all a good morning on a beautiful lake!

I wanted to keep going south towards Holland, but the lightning to the south made us turn north. Then a cell popped up to our west and exploded quickly. We used to do the high seas as well. I like flat and calm too. Early morning is a unique experience with the total darkness, but evenings get late way too quickly. -
Thank you Big Red Classic

Abbreviated trip this morning. We were hoping the weather man was wrong, but it turns out he was right for once. Lines down about 5:45 in 70' of water heading SW. Had 3 hits on a rigger with a green glow tomic plug. Landed one, about a 7# coho. One hit on the 7 color leadcore with a blue splatterback plug. 7# king. By 8 o'clock the radar showed a storm popping up just to our west so had to pack up early. Ended up 2 for 5 with 4 hits on riggers about 54' down. One of the hits was on a free slider. Fished from 80 to 100 for a while then moved out to 120 to no avail so we were coming back in when we had to boogie. By the time we hit Pigeon Lake the rain started pretty good. Torrential downpours on the way home. Fun fun fun!

https://photos.app.goo.gl/Cvc18DuTo92xqwR46Started in 60' on a SW heading. When we hit 80' it was a fire drill. Small salmon hitting the riggers and sliders. Got 3 out of 6. Stuck around 80-90 for a while with just some misses. Slid out to 130 with nothing to show for it. Circled back in and picked up a 21 pounder on a dipsey with flasher fly. Green glow SD with a hypnotist fly out 150'. And that was it. Ended up 4 for 10 or 12 on the morning.

Left the dock at about 5:30. Went to 40' and put down a 6 rod spread. Lost a small king at the back of the boat while setting lines. Hit a free slider on a rigger set down 34'. Landed about a 12# king off a rigger 34' down with a Silver Horde green glow with a ladder back. Had three hits on this plug landing two. The other was a small king. Had two hits on a 10 color with a 5 eyes moonshine spoon. One was a screamer that ended up burying the board and got off. Caught another 12-13# king on a wire dipsey 100' back with a spin dr with hypnotist fly. Finally had a hit on the 7 color and landed about a 7# brown trout. Surprised by that one. Fished 40-60' of water all morning. Finished with 5-8 at about 10:15am. Beautiful morning on the lake.

I remember those trips. It seems like the lake had flipped and the cold water was in close as well. You had over 30 fish in those trips if I recall correctly.😯

Started fishing about 5:45 in 50' of water. Slowed down to check for bait and fish and it was there so that's where we started. Fished 50 to 70' for a couple of hours and had 5 fish. Slid out to 140' and picked up a couple more. Ended up 7-10. Lost a screamer when the snubber broke on flasher fly. Big fish ( 16.5# ) on blue/green flasher with sweet pea fly, two hits on green dolphin spoon on a slider with the main line down 50'. One hit on Tomic plug on a 300 copper. Mostly spoon bite for us. Have to come up with a better snubber system!
