  1. I am close in location (Plainwell). Just wish I could afford it right now.
  2. I wish. I just bought a 30ft boat. My wife would kick me out and make me sleep on the boat. Wait, this may work out in my favor.
  3. Nobody buy this.......I'm going to buy it when I can get the money around.
  4. Ummm I don't see how it will help a rough idle. I could see it breaking down the oil more than anything. I do put it in my fuel tanks. And that makes a huge difference.
  5. This year has been very tough. But don't be afraid to run ever lure like a few spoons a few plugs a few flies. Also increase your odds by putting stackers or some people call them sliders. Basically you have 8 rods in the water and 12 lures. I like fixed stackers because you can control the depths they run. I fish our of South Haven. Let me know if you have more questions. Pm me maybe we can meet up and I can show you my set up.
  6. I have a feeling if someone is getting a 50ft Tiara, money is a non issue.
  7. Does anyone rent a trailer so I can take my boat to it's winter resting place? My boat is a Sea Ray weekender 300.
  8. I am in need of a mechanic in the South Haven area. My boat is a Sea Ray 300. My port side motor will idle fine. But then I but it in power it stars to loose voltage and then dies. I put a brand new alternator on and that didn't cure the problem.
  9. Not to high jack the thread. But does anyone run their 300s on the next size down from the tx-44s.
  10. This is my biggest fear. I about to get some more copper setups. I think I will go with braid backer.
  11. I'm looking for a new to me salmon boat. So far I have looked on Craigslist and boat trader. Is there any other good sites? Anyone know of any boats for sale. Looking for a 28 to 30 footer. Thanks in advance.
  12. That is a nice rig. I don't think I'll be spending that much. I want to though. I have to do a ton of selling to the wife. She has no clue what a boat like that is. I keep telling her we need to go look at some boats. She thinks she will have to still pee in a bucket with a towel wrapped around her. I said it's just like our camper.
  13. You must be a salesman! I love fishing too. I do love seeing other people catch fish, and if it is a kid that has only reeled in a few 13 inch bass and the fight a 18lb salmon......that is priceless. I'm trying to find a boat that has a trailer so I can eliminate the storage fees, it just makes it easier to sell the idea to my wife. And I have a 4 stroke on my Lund and I can troll 6 hours on about 2 gallons of gas. So that will be a jolt to the system. But nothing that I can't do. Plus if I take some friends out they can throw a 20 down for gas.
  14. That's awesome. My wife and I are thinking about getting in the boat life. I have an 18ft Lund right now and I take it on lake Michigan but I'd rather get a bigger boat and slip.
  15. Goodness Play, that must cost a fortune!
  16. Do any of you travel across the lake to either fish or go for pleasure? How long does it take?
  17. It's not that I'm worried about it its just that I'm trying to figure out if I want to deal with that hassle.
  18. I can troll for about 7 hours for under 9 bucks. I have a 1989 Lund Alaskan with a 50 hp 4 stroke. I have thought about getting a bigger boat and a slip so my wife and I can have a floating cabin. How much do you spend on fuel and what do you have?
  19. What Dan said, also its NOT cheap and its not a immediately a money maker. Remember you are dealing with government agencies and they work at their pace. I was getting mine but it started "tens and hundredsing" aka nickel and dimeing me! So I stopped while I was ahead. If you want to make money at it plan on heading south and fish the ocean.
