  1. As most saw my post I was pulled over by the coasties and checked on Sat and could not get the boat started. Eventually it finally startded but with alot of strain. I noticed that My Voltage was only reading about 12.8 volts on my digital readout. Normally it has always put out approx 13.3 to 13.7 volts. I am an elecetrician and I know that cars put out approx 14.5 volts. I am curious to know what most of you have for voltage output on your alternator. Mine has been pulled and is headed in for a rebuild. It was covered in brush dust and Im sure that the armature needs to be resurfaced.
  2. I could not agree more. I Enjoyed the comroderie, I would be up for picking a port every so often and everyone heading to it provided it could work out for everyone. the best thing about this trip it worked out kind of by chance. I cant ever remember being on the water with so many fellow fisherman that I had some knowledge of. this is a credit to the site, and what Mike (GLF) has put together.
  3. Nice looking spring Kings.
  4. Nice Job GLF crew. way to hang in there and keep trolling them out. My Wife is still trying to figure out what HO's were all talking about. She said and I quote. You better not be getting any HO's over at the lake. I laughed my head off.
  5. congrats on your successful day. there is nothing better then a day like yesterday as far as weather and a bonus of gettin into the fish.

  7. Good fishing Terry. How far south did you guys end up?
  8. :)Decided to avoid the boat barage in St.joe and went to southaven. Trolled south to the power plant piced of 3 lakers. ended up 3 for 5. all three lakers came on thin fins red tiger and orange and gold and red and gold. All on surface lines on the board 100' and 100' out. all were released. Last fish was able to shake off without netting. The Day was picture perfect. got a couple of nice pic before the camera died. On the way back got a coastguard inspection infront of the pier heads about 12.30 pm. Boat inspection was perfect and we were greatfull for the coasties and let them know that we were. Boat stalled while we were tied up and could not get it started again as it was bobbing like a cork inthe water for 20 min. (Flooded.) Coasties were pulling away and I said hold on. The gave us a tow into the Harbor where we were finally able to get her running again. I told them I would trade there radar for Mine. They let us go on there boat and check it out. wow. What a set of electronics. Thanks to J1musser for help at the boat launch. those waders come in handy.

  12. I was at the Dundee store the firts year it was open have not Been back since. I have been to the store in sidney Nebraska 4 times as we pass it on our way out to Wyoming for Elk Hunting. The Sidney store is Quite a Bit Bigger Then the rest of the stores. Looks the same inside just more floor space as it is there main store. Boomerang. I Live on the west side of the state so either way I have to pass the sxit off of I94 that goes by Dundee. So its a little out of the way but not to bad.
  13. My wife and I have to drive over to Detroit airport on Monday the 20th for a trip to Washingto DC and the nations capitol for our son Zach. Zach is in 5th grade and was selected to represent Martin public Schools and the entire area for young leaders of america also know as pople to people. This was set up by Presedent Isinhower in 1956 or so to promote young leaders of America. I am very proud of Zach as he is a 4.0 student and is going to take the SAT next year for College as We have been told his is ready for college classes. Zach wants to be a pilot in the coast Guard. Anyway enough about zach. My wife says to me Hey. As long as we are going over to Detroit, I thought we would spend the afternoon at CABELLAS on the way home. I thought to myself. Either she wants something or she really loves me. or I have her trained. My guess is she wants something. But either way I get to spend the day at CABELLAS. How cool is that.

  20. Nice Kieth Was at St. Joe Myself and had the same issue. That wind was wicked. It was not a fun trip back to the harbor when you 5 to 6 mi south and have to head north into 4 to 5 footers with 15 to 20 knot winds with gust up to 30.
  21. Thanks for the report Terry. Have not been out since Aug last year and these reports really help us deciding how when and were to set up.

Hit a second and lost it 5 min later. went another mile south and Hit Big fish and lost it in a bad tangle. ( thank You Wind ). Decided to pull them as it was starting to hit the 4 to 5 foot range with the waves and pulled in a Nice little spring King. 1 fish on the rigger, orange doger and penut fly blu/gr 6' back 7' down.(king).
