  1. Forgot this one taking a snooze on the best seat on the boat our Ocean Tamer Bean Bags!
  2. After the heavy north winds earlier in the week we where finally able to make it out on Thursday afternoon. We ended up 2-3 in the same area as last reports the lake was still pretty chopped up. With the nice weather we had on Friday we got to take a couple of first timers offshore salmon fishing. We decided to bring my girlfriends dad and her niece and after our long journey offshore to where we had been catching fish we couldn't get anything going. We ran a 9 rod spread we used most of the same baits that have been productive and we even changed things up we just didn't have much action we ended up 1-3. Good thing is it was a great afternoon to be on the water and everyone had a good time! On Saturday just 2 of us made it out we ran 6 rods strictly for kings started in same area as Friday in 55fow but we worked north to 95fow then back south. We ended up with a nice coho and steelhead we released 2 lakers we missed 2 screamers and lost 2 more fish when our 400 broke at the knot along with our 450 both with nice fish within a half hour. We set lines at 4:15am and pulled lines at 8:30am as I had a party to be at not bad action for a few hours of fishing!

  4. Fishing has been excellent still in the same area as last reports. Last Tuesday was our only tough day but that was due to the big waves and fog that came in while we were out there so we had to troll with the waves. Friday afternoon and the rest of the weekend fishing was great for the short time we spent on the water each day. We couldn't have asked for better weather for the weekend the lake was flat calm. Our best depth was 55fow-75fow north of the wreck with fish coming in the top 50ft. All baits took fish didn't seem to matter much. All in all we had a great time and great fishing!
  5. Well after the big north blow yesterday we were hoping the fish where still around and they definitely where just took a little while to find them. We set 9 rods at 5:30am in 50fow north of the wreck and trolled north to almost 70fow before making a turn we ended up with a few fish and misses. We finally ended up finding an area that we could keep working and getting fish between 60-75fow nothing fast and furious but a steady pick. Michigan stinger yellow,Michigan stinger crazy b, and Michigan stinger purple meat rigs where best on 5 and 7 color lead core and wire diver back 70. We also took a few fish on a Michigan stinger mag carmel dolphin and fire dot dodger and blue boomer ITO fly. Most fish came in the top 40 fow. We had our limit by 10:30am and while pulling lines hooked a real nice steelhead that we had to release but was definitely a trip topper!
  6. We got a late start but headed out to our way points from the weekend and the fish where still there. We set lines at 6:15pm and pulled them at 8:45pm we ended up with a 3 man limit. We went 16 for about 20 with 13 coho, 1 small king, 1 small laker, and a big laker that we released. Action was fast and furious with a few doubles and tripples with dodger and flies doing most damage again baits in top 35fow best water depth was 50-55ft. Can't wait to get back out an hammer them again! Before we had our limit doing a fish count!
  7. Well after our good afternoon of fishing earlier last week we decided to head to gong again on Saturday morning. We went 5-5 on coho before things slowed down we heard of better action to the north in deeper water so we pulled lines and headed out a few miles and reset. We ended up catching 5 more coho in less than an hour to fill our 2 man limit. We had to release a coho and a laker that we caught while pulling lines we fished from 5:30am-10:30am best depth was 40-55fow by the gong and north all fish caught in the top 35fow with dodger and flies taking the most fish a 0 fire dot dodger and blue and silver ITO FLY was the hottest bait back 20 and down 30 on the rigger. On Sunday we headed to where we finished up on Saturday. We had 3 rods set when the braid diver out 100ft with a blue bubble meat rig gets hit hard and comes unbuttoned so I quickly replace the meat and reset it. I go to set another rod and the braid diver goes again we grab it and it is a nice king peeling drag then comes unbuttoned. We finally get all 9 rods set and start getting coho with our lead cores being hot with dodgers and flies again in the top 35 fow. We ended up 6-12 we had a lot of hook ups but missed our first 4 fish and a couple later in trip. We fished from 6:00am-11:30am All in all a great weekend on the water for us and a great father's day spent with my dad on Sunday. Here are some pics enjoy!
  8. We had heard of good action last weekend out by the gong so we decided to set up there. We set lines in 45fow at 5:30pm west of the gong and got a coho on the setup. We trolled around the gong in 45-52fow until 8:45pm when we pulled lines. We ended up 5-7 running 6 rods dodgers and flies took all fish but 1 . We had 4 coho and a steely we lost a nice silver fish that came unbuttoned. The riggers where best down 25 and 30 only. We are going to try to get out again tomorrow afternoon as long as the wind decides to cooperate. We marked a ton of fish and bait hopefully they stick around for a little while.
  9. That's some fast action!
  10. Gotta love a king on wire!
  11. We headed to the same area that we have been fishing in 75-90fow north of the wreck 14 miles off shore from EC. We set lines at 5:15pm in 75fow and trolled north until we hit 90fow then made a turn and trolled back south to 75fow and pulled lines at 8:30pm we ended up 3-6 we landed 3 lakers and lost a laker, steelhead, and another silver fish that took off screaming and pulled the board under. We ran 6 rods with just 2 of us on the boat again. The steelhead we lost came on a 7 color with a Michigan Stinger MAG confused blonde and the other silver fish we lost came on a 150 Morgan's copper with a Michigan Stinger MAG carmel dolphin. The lakers don't seem to be picky on lure colors right now. It was a great evening to be on the water besides the pesky flies!
  12. After decent action on Wednesday we decided to head out again Thursday afternoon. We set lines at 5:30pm in 75fow and worked our way north to 90fow then turned and headed back south and pulled lines at 8:15. We ended up 4-6 with a nice 14.5lb king and 3 lake trout with one being the biggest ever on the boat at 22.5lbs. Our king came on a 150 of morgans copper with a michigan stinger mag carmel dolphin and our big trout came on a 7 color with a yellow blue and green pro king mag spoon. It was a great afternoon of fishing we did decent only running 6 rods for a few hours. Here are some pics enjoy!
  13. Headed out north of the wreck set lines at 530pm in 50 fow trolled northeast to 75 fow the turned and headed back south pulled lines at 830pm ended up with 2 lakers and a coho 2 color with orange proking took a laker and coho and a mag mixed veggie 33 down on rigger took other laker.
