  1. I have allways used the pinch pad's but after reading this thread I think I might look into the Blacks. Anyone have a link for those so I can check them out??
  2. If it is going to be stored outside I would have it done. I had mine done for the first time 2 years ago and wish I would have done it the first winter I had my boat. Most snow will not stick and what does can be brushed off with ease.
  3. Please explain "give"...LOL I would be interested in 2 complete sets as long as they are Big Jons and in good shape. How much do you want for them? Thanks Frank.. I will be away for the weekend but will get back to you when I get back..
  4. Frank, Do you have one or two with the rod holders??
  5. Just wanted to wish everyone good luck for the up coming Bow opener. Wether it be a buck of a lifetime or just meat for the table, enjoy every moment. And be safe out there, your family and the rest of us would miss you.
  6. Great pics!!! Thanks for sharing. I sure wish I lived closer to Lake Michigan cause I would really enjoy seeing that.
  7. I enjoy Offshore products very much...Welcome and thanks for being a sponsor.
  8. I am doing something very special for this years bow opener.....Sitting in a tree stand..... I am geek'ed for this years deer season. I was to busy last year and never made it out. I will be hunting Thur-Sun, deer or no deer. I cant even watch hunting shows anymore cause I start to get too antsy...
  9. Great Job!!!! Congrats...
  10. The camera that I have is a cheap one that I am using to experiment with but it is color and infrared. BUT with the infrared on it might as well be black and white, very little color show's up with infrared. With the infrared lights off the color show's quite well... This winter I hope to do some more experimenting and will keep everyone informed. Mike, if a ever want to compare notes just ask. I am no expert at this stuff but I enjoy tinkering with it..
  11. For me I think it would be in the $250-$350 range. I don't think many people would be willing to pay allot for one unless it was hassle free and easy to use. Many of us still fish out of 18' and under boats with 8' or less beams so adding extra gear could be an issue also. It is still in the design phase but last winter I made a prototype and although it did not work it solved many questions I had. This winter I hope to finish a complete working camera to test next year. If it goes as I have planned in my head I am pretty sure I could have a good color, infrared wireless camera for under $300, not including the monitor. Buy you asking this question Mike, I have a feeling that you may have just become my competition.. Guess I better get my idea done and patented before you.....
  12. That is impressive... What a fish of a lifetime..
  13. One thing I have noticed aboat noaa weather is that they are off sometimes when calling for calm to 2' waves and ya end up with 3-5'. But very seldom have I seen them off when calling 3'-5' or better. I was hoping to get over to Manistee this weekend but as of now I am not.
  14. PLEASE let us know how they run. I have had my eye on those for some time now and am interested in how well they run...
  15. Nice job Jay... I was there 2 weekends ago while the tournament was going on and talked to quite a few people that were going north, about straight out of Onekama, and out to the 35-40 line and doing OK. Thats 40-50 miles round trip.
  16. Nice job Jay!! Any plans of fishing this weekend? I should roll into town sometime late afternoon Fri and will be staying till Sunday morning, weather permitting. I will give ya a shout if I see ya.
  17. Congrats Josh... I remember the days when I had manual riggers and I hated them, I could not imagine having to use a wrench to bring up a rigger though..
  18. I've found that blue and green chrome work best for me. I have tried other colors with mixed results. A buddy of mine runs nothing but white wonder bread dipsy's with great success.
  19. Been happy with my Starcraft for over 5 years now, just wish I could get rid of the Mercury 2 stroke. I mainly monitor 07 but will give you a shout on 68 next time I see ya out there.
  20. Hey I remember seeing you out there Jay. We were fishing right next to you for awhile. I had the blue and white Starcraft Superfisherman with the 29 Nascar flag on my antenna. We got a late start but ended up going 5 for 9. Four kings and one steelhead. All on meat riggs. The bigger fish have moved. Last weekend we had fish in the 10 -15# range and this weekend we had nothing bigger than 8#.
  21. Nice Job Jay... We fished Manistee this morning also and went 7 for 9, all kings. Had the quick bite first thing in the morning but slowed considerably for us after the sun came up. Fished mostly straight out and south to the 13's and worked the 90' to 120' fow.
  22. Great Job Terry.. Its nice to see others getting the next generation of fisherman hooked.. The best thing I love about salmon fishing is taking newbie's out (especially kids) and watching there face when that fish takes a big run. Its worth every penny I have spent on gear.
  23. Great job to all those in the event and a congrats to Nick on the win.
