  1. Tomorrow I plan on using 2-1Color, 2-2C with spoons on them, green carrot, green alewife, bk/wh alewife; bl/chrome tail dancer on high lines out 100’ on inside boards; 2 riggers will also have spoons; in 35fow riggers 25 down 45 back w/spoons; may throw out shallow dipsey also. That’s funny because yesterday I went in the basement and got out a bunch of walleye stuff, Bandits and Reef Runners that I may use.
  2. Only place is city launch; Black River Park launch. $8 launch fee via machine. Think we have 7 docks and best fish cleaning station anywhere: two tables with 4 stations each; commercial size disposals; 4 hanging ground fault protected plugs at each table for electric knife cleaning guys; automatic descaling machine for panfish/perch. And, long hose for cleaning out coolers. There are two pit toilets by the docks, and around 7:30 or 8 when city workers get there indoor restrooms are usually open. Good luck!
  3. Just found out friend ran riggers 25 down 45 back in 35 fow. From his video it looked like he was straight out from the Campbell Plant stack.
  4. You are very welcome. We are going out tomorrow targeting shallow kings on 1C and riggers and Hos with deep Rapala bl/chrome tail dancers in 35’ or so north of pier. Also, if you noticed, the old link for SoHa buoy did not include water temps throughout water column. I thought maybe they removed them last winter from the anchor chain.
  5. I called Limnotech because all I could get was seagull.com web site for buoys with no updated data. Company that put up seagull was supposed to leave old links active. Go through this link for complete buoy summary n then pick n bookmark your favorite buoy(s). BTW kings are starting to show up here, SoHa and Port Sheldon/Holland .http://uglos.mtu.edu/
  6. Update. Carl was out this morning; 3 for 3, king, ho n steelie; 35fow, north of pier. All on same blue/chrome Deep Rapala running 80-100’ back. So looks like a few kings have shown up.
  7. Will do. They should be jumping in our boats by then.LoL.
  8. On social media they just show pictures of what they caught. These forums are for details. Many don’t report or wont contact you when you try to share info when on the water because they think you will find their great spots to fish! I think its so funny.
  9. Thanks for report. By now kings should be showing up; around 4/25 last yr we got 1 king and 4 Hos. Rule of thumb is if forsythia bushes are blooming kings should be near. There are hundreds of people fishing in Lac Mich everyday and especially on weekends and no one posts reports. Crazy.
  10. 2/3 coho; both on deeper diver blue/chrome body bait; think it’s Rapala tail dancer; line length 70-86’; one in 58’, one in 42’; south n SW troll, 2-2.7sog, SE wind 10-20; 1-2s out of SE. Cloudy all day; fished 10-3pm.
  11. Good report. Yep, same for us yesterday in SoHa; weather scattered them. See my report.
  12. Just 1 for 1; Coho in 42 fow trolling west near Deerlick Creek inlet. On fire tiger thin fish on 1 color. Fished mile or 2 north to 4 or so miles south in 30-55fow. Think recent storm scattered them. Will try again Thursday..

  13. Coho 7 for 8; in 20-30’ between Deerlick Creek and Palisades Plant; fire tiger and green/yellow body baits; half on 1C and half on high lines back 60’ on inlines. Speed 2-2.5; all hits trolling south into SE waves. Nice day on Big Blue.
  14. No Marks. Even had side sonar on but water was pretty dirty.
  15. Fished 9-1 in skinny water south to past Palisades; 8 lines in the water but no coho, browns or lakers. Good season maiden voyage for The Reel Woman.
  16. Good job; nice boat and setup. Good to see you have rod trees too; wouldn’t be w/o them for my copper n lead core.
  17. I felt same way, but when lake settles after all storms/wind we’ve had, it looks like there are some 3 yr old kings and steelies out there. Yes, and best thing is the fact that we caught juvenile Cohos last two trips is very promising. We don’t target lakers, aka drag dodgers/spin n glows on the bottom; we catch enough on our riggers/Dipseys just by accident. Have a great winter and hope to see you on the water here.
  18. 4 for 5, if count a drum as fish, lol. Trolling south in 60’ got drum near bottom on moonshine flounder pounder on port rigger. Trolling west in 182’ got 3yr old king on SB rigger down 117’’ on mag DW green glo frog spoon with white back. In 180’ on SB side trolling east got nice Steelie on SS DW pink panties on 4 3/4 colors. Lost one port 300’ copper in 187’. Pulling port rigger there was 12” coho that we returned. Had one last week on 18 colors. Nice to see some of them fir next yr. Waves 2-3s or 2-4s and came down to 2s from NE. Usual speed of 2.2-3.2knots.
  19. Not sure where you got the report of big kings here in SoHa; maybe some charters found a few. Mostly still lakers. Here in SoHa may switch to perching for a few weeks which I haven’t done in years. Boat gets winterized 10/12.
  20. IMG_1219.mov Was honored along with about 35 other boats to take veterans Frank and Dave fishing. Dave got an 8lb laker and Frank a 10lb. Big boat parade on way in. So much fun. 7:15am 117 fow small laker 73 down on rigger, gr glo frog meat rig, troll west 7:55am big laker 124’ on SB turn from west to north 300’ copper on rv blur jeans moonshine. 9:15 SB rigger tripped and fought for a few; no one home after 20seconds. 21. That’s what my digital scale said.
  22. Thks on the pics. Yes, Tuesay night sunset was unreal. I have 250’ of cable on both riggers. Thermocline was down 95-100’; was 50.6 at 95 and 48.9 at 100. So with sway back on 12lb ball thats pretty close to maybe 110’ or so down.
  23. 10lb king 4:45 on sb rigger down 127’ on suv smurf meat rig 250fow 20 lbking, kevin gr psun fly 221’ out 124mn bk dipsey 235fow 8/18: 160 rigger down 127’ hit n run; same rigger in 220’ fish on then line cut. Last night at fish ckeaning 2 guys each had a snall coho. Heard this morning maybe 1 or 2 fish by some.
