  1. I run 75', 100', 150', 225', 280 & 300' cooper and 2,3, 4 1/2, 5 1/2, 8 & 10 color lead off shore regular boards. It's nice to have rod trees to keep lines up higher. You can get poor man 3 rod rod trees from Maddocks, Harrison, Mi for like $150 each! My 2 cents worth. All have a great 4th!
  2. SH1, Yep, get it there when I keep my boat in SoHa thanks. Dimitri: Will be at SoHa Lake House 7/7-7 14 but planning Lac Erie walleye trip either 7/17 or one of days between 19-21.cHave dr appt 18. You interested and available. You would stay at my house night before n day of trip. Don't want u driving home dead tired. Send me a text tob let me know.
  3. Ok, thanks! Appreciate it. Maybe we were out too deep. We did have a fish on in 120' so maybe we should have worked that area first instead of working our way out deeper. Thanks again.

  5. Capt Tony: How far out were u fishing? Thks
  6. Coralee: Boat ran great. Never stalled n ran fantastic at high soeed. Had had some high speed missing for past few years, too. Vaporizer kit (2fuel pumps n vaporizer), new hose from tank to fuel/wtr filter n new spark plugs. Due to pretty good chop coming in, couldn't open it all the way up but it ran great. And, to make sure I don't run into ethanol problems in the future will run rec fuel or marine fuel! Rec fuel 90 is $3.78 her in Jackson n at 4 Seasons Marina in SoHa with steelheaders 20 cents discount can get it for $4.05. SHYC across river (no discount) is $4.27.
  7. Yep, fleas were bad in SoHa yesterday!
  8. Yes, they were the only ones cleaning fish at city launch fish cleaning station. Not sure where they fished but there were some boats in close south of piers by rock pile (mile south n about mile out). Good luck! Coming in, the river was a zoo yesterday! Boaters were fine; a lot of the dinghy people cared more about drinking and talking to friends then piloting their boats. If I didn't say anything to guy behind me 3 or 4 times He would have been into my transom! Needed to get out, n have to put up with weekend/holiday crowds. But, didn't have to wait for dock at launch at 2.
  9. SoHa 7/3 Got skunked. 0-2, had small fish on slider in 119' on way out. worked 110-200 fow; very few marks. On way in 107' SB rigger got hit n ripped slider n main right off mono! Beautiful day on the lake! Talked tp a few other boats n they had no hits.
  10. Good job, doing SoHa Sunday!
  11. Yep, blood knot!
  12. Yeah, when we got our first king about 6 weeks ago I forgot how fiesty spring kings are. About 3 weeks ago we had that king that broke slider n tripped other rigger n got into copper. But, we got him because broken line on slider got tangled in copper. What's odds of that. The small king we got last Friday did similar, cranked copper as fast as I could to keep up as he headed for the boat, he finally slowed down. That's how king u lost got so big, smart. In addition to smiling as he went by did he wave a fin at u too. Lol!
  13. Yeah dketyd2 we had none of the colors u had down, except jagger bomb which is close to mixed veggie u r showing. Since wives were there n they were on the feed looks like it didn't matter what we put down.
  14. Good job dirtyd2. Yep, think we would have filled the box too if we could have stayed out.
  15. Whatahoot: For some reason double orange crush on 300' cu does very well. I almost always put out a silver double orange crush on that deep copper!

  20. Wind wasn't a problem: lack of fish was!!! Normally SW wind is ideal. We'll get em next week!!!
  21. SoHa 5/31 First skunk of the season; had small coho on in 175fow but got off quickly; probably on slider. Had two other trips on riggers with no one home! Fished 85-195'. 1-3s settled down to nice lazy 1-2s. Surface temp was 54 all the way to 195. In 194 fiw checked water did find 46 degree water 95' down; set lines down there n still no hits. Very few marks. Beautiful day on the lake!!
  22. That's a big Steelie Bob. I'm not surprised it tore up your copper; even a smaller steelie will dance on the water into everything! Great job! We r headed to SoHa Wed n have yet to tie into a steelie; n none of SoHa reports I've seen so far have mentioned any steelies. Can't believe they r way out in the lake rhis time of the year.
