  2. Doing any good? Probably launch at 8 when my guys get here from Jackson
  3. Good job. Thanks. Heading out Wednesday
  4. 1 for 1. Not a silver or laker but big 28” drum in 75’. Got it on 200 copper on Moonshine RV Blue Flounder. Had 3 or 4 knock offs on riggers with no one home. 1-3s then wind shifted from NW. was starting to build up. Fished 84’ to 140’. 2.2-3.2SOG.
  5. You can use all my reports and attachments. Thks
  6. Rich: I plan on joining the South Haven Steelheaders. Was a member of SW Steelheaders in St Joe. I’m retired and we just moved to SoHa on 4/27. I’m usually out once a week fishing in my Grady White, The Reel Woman.
  7. Just 1 for 1; at 9:30 in 109’ a steelhead on mag Moonshine Happy Meal on dipsey on 3 out 160’. Went in to 84’ and then back out to 150. No other hits. 8. Thks. We’re heading out Sunday.
  9. There were a few guys fishing in about 70’ and not sure if they were fishing for lakers or what. There weren’t that many trailers in the parking lot and we were the only ones at the fish cleaning station. I would set lines in about 60’ straight out from piers and angle out SW and then NW until you find some. When we got our first king in 135’ we stayed in the area until they shut down and then went out deeper. Good luck.
  10. 3 for 4; 9:30 In 109fow 8 lb laker on CJKing Ghostbuster spoon on 300copper; 10:30 16 lb king on dipsey on 3 out 160’ on jagger bomb spoon; 10:45 15lb king on rigger slider on RV Moonshine Flounder Pounder with main line down 48’; lost laker on 200 copper. Went out to 145’ but no hits. 1-3s; SOG 2.4 -3.2.
  11. Thanks for the report. Going out there tomorrow.
  12. Mega Byte: Water wasn’t bad; kind of a light brownish green. Perfect for holding temperature, bait fish and fish. In addition to some schools of kings n lakers we marked some decent bait balls in that 55’ water also. Some boats were fishing farther out at the edge of the cleaner water, but have no idea how they did. May be out again Sunday and/or next Tuesday or Wednesday in the same area.
  13. Thks. Nice size for early May. Both were females. 22#er was natural reproduction; 18 was planted ( adipose fin clipped).
  14. 4 for 6. 21 lb king on rigger down 45’ on rv blue jeans. 18’ king on 200 copper on dragon spoon. 5 lb laker on slide diver out 95’. Small returned laker on 3C on CJKing Gold Or Crush Mag spoon. Lost 14 lb king when main line broke that allowed slider to run off. Rigger down 38’ got 3 hits , mag rv flounder pounder. Laker in 62’, all other hits in 55’; most hits a mile ir so north if Palisades plant. 4 hits downhill (S); one east on a turn; 21# king north troll. 1-2s with sw wind; SOG2.3-3.2.
  15. SoHa pics yesterday afternoon. Same today. Not real crowded at city launch. About 40 vehicles in the lot around 9:30.
  16. Thks. Going out tomorrow. First trip of the season.
  17. Amen. I’ve already signed one of the many of her impeachment petitions on Facebook!
  18. Agree. Coho in close 10-25’ run south to past the chalets .May 5 to 25 we did very well on kings in SJ. Like 11 for 17 one day. 60-100’.
  19. When I use my big boards for walleye we run 2.4 to 3.0 SOG. Quite hot for eyes. Also, I use inlines My dual boards don’t track very well below 1.8 let alone down to 0.3. Good luck.
  20. Welcome. A lot of good info and reports here. Happy belated Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas. Dan in Jackson, Mi. I fish Lac Mich April to June n August to Oct; Erie West Basin May, June n July.
  21. Agree. My Offshores have been converted with OR18 releases also. If somehow you lose a board don’t forget to put your name n phone number on it. Someone might return it. This summer a guy called me the next day that he found my Church walleye board in Erie west basin.Told him thanks for the call and to keep the board and lure. He said the fish was still on but lost it at the boat. Maybe should have paid him to ship it to me. Might have had a specially painted expensive Bandit on it.
  22. I see a few people talking about running dipseys on a board. Doesn’t make sense. Like stated above dipseys, especially on 3, get out away from the boat. Also, not sure you need to spend $50+ for the bigger inline boards. I use standard Offshore boards with up to 300 copper and full core with no problem. My friend even uses Church walleye boards for up to 300 copper and full core. I was surprised but they track pretty good. He just moves the weights to the back. My 2 cents.
