Caught this bad boy with a local fisherman in Jamaica, December 2012. The boat was fiberglass, with branches for outriggers, whittled releases (like clothes pins) and 4 1 gallon bleach bottles with 30-40lb. Great time!
  2. Personally I'd like to sink every sailboat I come across. Snapped an aluminum prop blade due to a sailboat on Spring Lake a couple years ago. The "captain" cut me off right when I was starting to get up on plane, had no room to turn and had to slam it in reverse to avoid running them over. I'm, (correction; HE'S) lucky I didn't tear up my outdrive. I called him everything but a white man.
  3. Nice looking boat! Pursuits are great wave busters.
  4. Well, looks like I'm off to Sam's Club.
  5. Would you consider selling it?
  6. Who's out by the Lake shore? I'm out that way quiet a bit anyway. I know there is the place just south of Port Sheldon (where I usually go out off), but cant think of the name though.
  7. Morning everybody, Quick question about meat rigs. Sitting here at work and doing some research on them and figured I'd post this thread. I live in the Grand Rapids/Grandville area and I like to support the local fishing/hunting/tackle shops. Anybody in the Grand Rapids area know where I can buy them, and who has the cheapest price? I was hoping maybe the Outdoorsman in Jenison or even Al & Bobs has them, but maybe I'm forgetting some other places too. I know I can buy them online, but like I said, I make money here in GR and I like to try to keep my money here too. Thanks, Beyond Therapy II
  8. I've been launching my 25' four wins vista there the last two weekends. She's deep, draws probably 2-21/2'. Until I get near the big boats on the south side of the channel I leave it trimmed up 1/2 way and take it slow. Once you get near the houses and larger boats it drops off to 15-20', then you're clear all the way out. Just stay in the middle, you'll be fine.
  9. Went out of Port Sheldon Sunday morning, lines in the water by 5 am. Started getting setup around 65-70', and trolled straight west/NW @ 2.5-2.7. Waves were an average 2-3' with the occasional 31/2-4', most were rollers, water temp of 68 degrees. Fished from 5 am to 9:15 am, caught one jack on a stacker about 40' down, 25' back on a lemon ice spoon. We probably would have done a little better if that Jack didn't have 2 other lines & spoons tangled around him, who knows how long that was going on for..... Had copper out around 200-225 yds, that started going going off around day break, but we came up empty on that too. That was a lemon ice spoon as well. Hopefully we'll have better luck next weekend. Beyond Therapy II ~ A bad day at fishing is still better than a good day at work.
