Well it was a last min. fun trip. And what fun it was , i met fishsniffer, fishsniffer 2, plumkrazy, nick and keven gibson, rdfishin, and a freind from work for some ice fishin yesterday morning. Well to make a long story short the fishing was not a good as it was last week but it was still fun with lots of laughs and even a few fish cought. I think the final total was close to 100 crappies and blue gills for the group. What worked was dimond jigs , maramoskas and a few d.j. customs , as long as it was small like a 14 or 16 and moved REALY SLOW. the colors where green or chartruse. O did i forget the temp here at 8 am was -14 :eek:on the ice , but it was sunny with no wind so it was actally kinda nice, till we quit when the wind started to blow around noon when we called it quits. Well guys, it was a blast and even took a little heat out of the cabin fever. also , nick did ya talk your mom into letting you buy vexlar yet.

o, so the 90 to 120 inches we get every year is not your likeing? Just jokeing

I here ya mike I went to kalamazoo this afternoon and it looks like they only had about 5 inches on the ground but just east of south haven looked like 2 ft.

yup , that is what we got in allegan yesterday also, at one time you could not see 200 ft across the lake.

I have to walk to every place i fish, on the ice anywho, and yes in the place i fish most often this amount to close to 3/4 of a mile one way. And i still LOVE IT!

Well i got out again this morning and ended up with 19 nice gills ,6 crappies and a 30 inch pike. It was a little slow this morning but all in all a good morning, what worked was a size 16 marmooska ,almost flat on the bottom in 14 to 15 fow. man were they fussy. sorry i did not get any pics but i gave the fish to a freind that i was fishing with , he also had 23 nice gills. well tomorrow i will be back out with nick and kevin gibson and the plumkrazy, see ya im the am guys!

Im with most of you guy's ,ive adapted to winter with ice fishing and a little rabbit hunting from time to time. Granted ice fishing is nothing like trolling but i like it enough to go 3 or 4 times a week from now till march , and like dan said , if ya have cabin fever already your going to have BIG issues come mid march.
