  1. Great job Ed, its always fun to get the famly out, and even better when the fish are feeding.
  2. Now to me, this is very odd. I seldomly run my fly more than 35" behind my paddles, I think it creates a MUCH more agressive strike.
  3. Nice job, looks like the Dream Team came thru again..
  4. Wwelcome Karl, you will like it here.
  5. I think Jim hit it, I have a islander also, the boat gos as straight as a arrow if every one is near the same weight and sitting down, if we are setting lines and moveing around is sways back and for the same is te for fighting fish when we are moveing back and forth across the back of the boat.
  6. Damn, nice TUNA hunt Ed!
  7. I seldomly leave the dock before 6 am and try to set lines around 6:30 to 6:45.
  8. Drink a beer, the "Fish call in a can" always works.
  9. Thats a good idea also.
  10. This is what I would do, it would be equal to a 15,12,10,7 and 5 color lead core. Witch means you could run from 20ft down with the 100 and 60 to 65ft down with the 300.
  11. Very well put Tim, I would also like to see that all coolers be dropped off by boat, none of this bringing them in by vehical from a different port.
  12. I agree with you 100% Tim, our team has made a tenitive decision to not fish any of the weigh 5 tourneys from here on out . I also dont think that the survey at the Holland Capt. meeting will make a bit of difference. The commity will make it what they want. Just cant stand the dumbing down thing. Sorry if I affended anyone but thats just my oppinion.
  13. Gets the job done Jimmy, just ask your helper LOL.
  14. I have heard this exact same thing, that they would rather fish the 333 than the main tournement.
  15. WOW, do's it get any better than this, Saterday I had a couple cousins and a old friend from North Dakota on the DOG. This is a trip we do every yr mainly to reminice about our past and catch a few fish, but the few turned into 15 for 23 fishing from 6:30am to 11:30 with a nice mixe of kings, steel head, coho and lakers. We fished the waters between 75 and 125 south of the harbor. Heres a pic of the catch from Saterday. WOW, what a great time, sure will miss these ole friends till I get out there for a little Pheasant hunting this fall. And this morning was no different, left the dock around 6 and was back on the trailer at 10:45. We fished the same area as saterday, with the exact same spread and never changed a bait. End this morning going 18 for 26, "that was like work" for the first hr and a half we could only get 3 rods in the water Heres a few pics of what worked and the catch. 11 inch Blue bubble Paddle with a Blue Bubble Glow fly 10 dbl slick spin dr not sure of the fly, becouse its one i put togather These were 2 of the set ups that were in the first hr and a half. 11 inch pearl fish scale with a sour apple rapter fly, this was the best set ups both days by far, this morning it took 7 fish Silver Streak uv Blue Dolphin 8 inch mixed veggie spin dr and green mirage fly Mag.
