im with you guys kill kill kill and the deer hunting the last few years is starting to take second fidel do to hunting on the east side of the state and the occatoinal trip to ark.

i agree with most of the obove and will not take a shot over 25 yards {to much room for mistakes} i like um realy close i have also shot around 15 deer at 15 yards or less and watch um die but it all comes down to what you feel comfortable with

made it out friday nite with heavey actoin and my buddy chris and went 5 for 9 we fished from 6 pm till around 11 3 nice steelys from 8 to 12 lb and 2 kings around 10 lb the fish we lost where nicer kings they come on a little of every thing from a blue crome spin dr. and blue bubble glow fly the a flounder pounder moon shine on a rigger 70 down and the best troll was north saterday we set line at 5:30 and got blown off at 11:00 with 6 fow 13 with waves runing around 5 ft and all choped up:eek: best bait was a blue and white silver streak dont no the name this was on a full core and took 6 hits also a mixed vegies stinger on a half core took 4 hits and a nateral born killer on a rigger set at 70 took 2 and the last hit was on a blue crome spin dr. with a blue bubble glow fly on a dipse set out 145 on 2.5 the catch was 3 stealys and 3 kings all the kings where from 10 to 16 lbs and the steel were all around 6 to 12 lbs on the scale and today the best troll was south at 2.4 ROUGH RIDE STAIGHT IN TO THEM and south at 3.0 the best depth was 100 to 105 well i will be back out monday morning with some people that have never fished for anything orher than blue gills this THIS SHOULD BE INTERESTING and memerable tite lines to all Terry

i hunt water fowl /small game {love to sqaril hunt}/deer and turkys next year i will include bear

we made it out last nite about 4:30 and fished till 9:30 and ended up 10 for 16 in 100 to 130 fow in front of the river the catch consisted of 6 stealys and 4 kings the stealhead rangede from 6 to about 14 lbs the largest 1 went to dnr sports today to be wieghted for the kalamazoo gazet contest the name on the entery is crhis schultz the kings where around 8 to 10 lbs the best bait was a silver streak not sure of the name but it is red white and blue this took 7 hits and was on a full core also goldy locks 50 down and fire cracker dw. 60 down and a circus freak stinger 55 down the best troll was north east to south west /going north it was 2.0 to 2.2 on the gps and going south it was 2.7 to 2.9 sorry no pics to day becouse the wife has the camera with her up north this weekend:mad: we also marked a lot of fish on the bottum before the sun started to set and when it hit the harizon the stealeys where gone and the kings where on the move tite lines and sceamin drags to all Terryi

i think i got it figured out i checked with 4 of the charters and they only reported 4 to 6 fish and most of them where smaller kings {2 to 5 lbs} i did see there catch becouse they came in the same time we did and when they went out this morning they all went s.w. and looked like way off shore also for got the last fish was a 4 lb laker on a 1/2 cor in 90 on the say stinger as the stealys where on these were all the sting ray size

well i went back out with heavy action this mornig and ended up 7 for 8 we started out in 15 fow in front of the peirs as i heard that they where getting stealys in there all week but we never marked a fish or had a hit {made 6 passes}water was back up to 60 deg. so we turned and headed west and had the fist hit at about 25 on a 1/2 core with a criags x- mas it was a nice 10" perch we did mark a pile of them in that area next fish came on a org. nbk stinger on a rigger in 50fow 25 down this was a 4#steal head third came at 80 on a green and silver stinger with org. dots on a 1/2 core fourth was on a rigger 55 down with ahawg wild stinger at 105 fith was a miss in the same water as the fourth sixth was on the green and siver stinger as before on a 1/2 cor in 110 this was a 6 #king and the last was a 6 # king on a full cor in 125 with a goldy locks d.w. water did not cool off on the top till we got to about 80 foot . best troll was west at 2.7 to 3.0 fished from 5:45 till 12:00 i will be back in the morning if it is not raining to fard and seas are 4 ft or less best of luck DIRTY DOG

i dont have one but normaly try to go with the current at 2.7 to 3.0 on the gps and slower going into it at say 2.2 to 2.7 and just let the fish till me what is rite and yes i d undrestand there is a up current and a down current

not that i no of this marina in to far up the river for them to dreagde is what i heard and it is so shallow no i can only get my 14 foot fishing machine up there in the sping when the water is hi

i agree completely dv8or i fish out of saugatuck mostly and do outstanding most of the time but meny people will not fish there do to the bad rep. it has but like you said the best port is the one a person fishes the most out of i also fish there mostly becouse its close to my home less than 20 min.
