  1. as paulywood stated, cores are also my faverite rods ,and as a side note i see a lot of people saying they don't like a full core or anything longer in my oppinoin ,your out there mostly for the fight and when a long core go's of, now you have a battle currently i have 12 core rods on the dog ,a pair of 2,3,5,7,10,12 and 15 colers ,and from june though mid aug. the last few year "do to warm water" i mainly run 7,10,and 12 on one side and 10 ,12 and 15 on the other side here is a few pics of some long core fish this is a 15 coler and this is the results this pic is mid july out of sagotuck mi. all where on 10 coler or longer now that was fun
  2. WOW , that looks like the illusive mikey fish only to be found on GREAT LAKE FISHERMAN
  3. i was just wondering if any one has ever tried to yous a acua view , i bought one from my brother inlaw a few years ago and thought about trying to rig it to a rigger cable , has any one ever done this
  4. ken hit the nail write on the head "no pun intended" ,lead core set ups are my most productive set up year round in the spring i use 2,3 and 5color cores for cohos and browns and as summer comes closer as the water warms and the fish go deeper i start running longer lengths such as 7 ,10 ,12 and even 15 coler core part of the key to it is to find out what depth the fish are feeding at and trie to get the write length of core out there to match as a rule of thumb , a singel coler will sink around 3 to 5 ft depending on boat speed and current for me ,cores shine as the sun comes up and the fish start to spook away from the boat
  5. nice job randy
  6. looks like a good day

  12. nice job ken
  13. hey roger, my dad and i took another 50 from that lk. tonite ,no sorting today all 8 to 9s
  14. a marmooska jig is a horazontal style jig that , has a football shaped head with a small hook that comes out the back hear is a pic of my favorite colers{sorry for the quality} these little jigs work the best with 2 spikes or mouses also they are in a size 14 and ive found that if the fish come up and just look at it and will not bite i will drop down to a sive 16 or 18 with only 1 spike and move it REALY SLOW and it works like a CHARM
  15. wire is AWSOME, i have 2 okuma 8ft 6 blue dimand wire rods ,with 30d convectors that have 1000 ft of stainless wire and i love em these are my faverite setups to catch fish on
  16. yup , i was there tonite and took 16 home in 1 and a half hours ,same jig you where yousing , nice job rog. see ya in the morning
  17. Happy new year
  18. nice job rog. , i just got back from there ,and the lake level has came up so much that you need waders if not a conoe to get to the ice now ,looks like around 30 ft. of open water and all the docks are under by atleast 12 inches also with the 3 ft of snow that melted do to the 2 plus inches of rain and 60 degree temps out side right now, most of the roads had a lot of water flowing over them or where closed
  19. and a lot of times stupid KILLS
  20. merry christmas and happy new year to all
  21. lead core in 10, 12, and 15 colors did very but the wire divers where a very close second my normal setup was 2 riggers 6 cores and 2 to 4 divers depending on the crew size
  22. great job jerod , sounds like a great season
  23. well the boardom has set in , with only boarder line safe ice around here ,and a bad deer season , and most of the honey dew list aready done "FOR NOW", i decided to take a little boat ride down the river to see if i could find some steelhead on this nice 43degree dec. afternoon and i did i fished solo from 11 to 2:30 pulling plugs below m-89 and ened up 1 for 2 with a nice 9 lb male for the smoker not red hot ,but it beat sitting in the house, also i seen 3 muture bald eagle to day sitting in the top of one of the big pine on top of a big sand slide {this only sucks becouse i left the cam. at home} the plugs that worked where a pink and gold hot and tot and also the old stand by , gold black top and with red bill both 1/4 oz
