  3. welcome crhis , mike is right that area should be on fire in a week or two, i fish from south haven to port sheldon , mostly out of saugatuck
  4. ya when my wife gets p--sed at my and thinks im going to the couch , i just go take a nap in the DIRTY DOG ,she's only been on it 3 times in 5 years!

  7. i got a set of berts bird trees most of the new stinge nitro's 6 new protroll flashers some mag silver streaks a new cannow mag. 5 hs to match the one that i won in the stinger challenge and a few silver hords
  8. i have 18 okuma's mosty convectors ,4 are magda's , the key to the magdas is to keep oil on the worm gear mine are 5 seasons old now ,i also have 2 diawa sealines
  9. i found a few good deals also , such as the berts bird trees i got from the outdoorsmen pro shop for $260 for the pair
  10. how far down the river did the shallow water go, im asking becouse my old islander has the old stringer system in it. so if i tilt the lower unit up becouse it is in the sand it will have no power till it is all the way back down, I DO NOT WANT TO GET STUCK IN THE SAND

  13. when i am targeting browns early, i try to keep the boat in about 10 fow ,this will put the inside board as close to the beach as 20 ft "most of the time" the main thing to remember is your trying to find the warmest water possable and on a nice calm ,sunny spring day ,that will be the shallowest water you can find , and it dosn't hert to have a small creek flowing in to the lake to attract bait like smelt or minnows also i run the same speed as i do in the summer around 2.5 to 2.7 on the gps hope this helps a little
  14. jason ,i agree with you 100%, also ,i think they should be responsable for any and all damages to other boats that get tangled or damaged in any net that is left floating around till spring

  16. hey mike i remember that morning quite well , we where prefishing for a w.m.f.l. tournement on that saterday and on sunday we took 3 more just like that one and lost four more, they where all on a full core in 40 to 44 fow on that same spoon
  17. got my first choise also hunt 131 , but i think this will be my last year at turkey hunting for a while, just becouse i get way more enjoyment out of being on the water , and ive shot 17 spring birds in the last 18 years and close to that with fall birds {any more just kinda a been there none that kinda thing}
  18. j-9 rapela in black and silver or fire tiger ,or a bumble bee stinger, it is a toss up between the three i cought browns up to 11 lbs on the rapelas but my personal best is a 17.9 lb'er on the bumble bee stinger
  19. yup that was a good man with some cool storys , when i was first out of hi school i worked for about 5 years is a roofer and we always listend to him at lunch every day
  20. it sounds like the easy way would be to pitch the greasers back and catch a king!
  21. the snow is gone in the open areas but in the woods or where there is some shade there is about 8 to 10 inches here
  22. hey jim, a friend that i want to hi school with speeks of rideing in MAY , but i remember a year not that long ago {with in the last 15}that i fished the big pond every month of the year:D
