I have the Bud light unit, What I do is, send a beer bottle down with my ball and then take the reading when I drink it. When it is gone then you send it back down and the fish will follow the bud light sent to your lures. Bud Light Unite, Caznik;)

I wish you said something on here that you was going up there. I know everything about Frankfort and thats my favorite port to fish from. Where I usally stay at is at the Betsie River Campground. They have really nice cabins that you can sleep in. The takle box is great place to for alot of info on fishing there also. I am going to be up there the weekend of the 17th of August and I can't wait. So how do you like how fast it gets deep there. Man you dont even have to go 2 miles and your in 300ft of water. So where did you get the fish at? The Herring hole or the point. Well glad you had a great time there. Here is some picture of Frankfort Herring Hole -

Smoking Your Wild Turkey Legs In A Propane Smoker: 1- Soke your wild turkey legs in apple juice for 24hrs in the fridge. 2- After 24hrs get your smoker ready by filling up your water pan with apple juice that you soked your turkey legs in. 3- Grease your racks really good and put your wild turkey legs on your racks and put them in your smoker. 4- Set your temp. at 200 deg. and start smoking your turkey legs. 5- Now smoking turkey legs took me about 8 hours till they was done. So what I would do if you do not want them to tuff to eat. Just start checking your turkey legs on the first 3hrs and then after that. Check them out every half an hour to keep an eye on them. How I knew that they was done was. Cutting the meat till there was no more bloody juice flowing. With help by Steve Arends this is how I happen to get this recepie and try it. Hope you will enjoy, Caznik

For Propane Smokers Getting The Brine Prepaired: 1- Use 5 gallons of water in big water pan. 2- Put in 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of brown surgar in pan of water. 3- Put fresh salmon in the pan of water, salt, and brown surgar. Leave in fridge for 24hrs. Time To Smoke Fish: 1- Take the salmon out of the of water and then rinse the salmon off with clean water, then put salmon on paper towel to dry. (If you like it salty, do not rinse salmon off) 2- Take a paper towel and pat the salmon meat down to dry off. 3- Let salmon site for 15 min to dry a little. 4- Coat the salmon with brown surgar.(You can put what ever spices you like on the salmon to) Getting the Smoker Ready: 1- Fill the water pan up and grease the racks up good. 2- Use cherry or hickory wood chips for the smoke. 3- Start up smoker and set the heat to 200deg. 4- Now you can put the salmon in the smoker 5- Big salmon will take around 3 hours to smoke and the smaller salmon will only take about 1.5 hours to smoke. But keep checking your fish about every half hour. You do not want to over cook them or your salmon will be dry. Make sure the salmon has a golden look on the meat and the meat will start to split up. Hope you will enjoy your smoke salmon, Caznik

Frequently Asked Questions About New 2006 Deer Regulations Applying for and purchasing a public land antlerless license Q: How much is a 2006 antlerless license? A: Pending the Director’s signature, affective August 16 the resident fee for an antlerless license will be $15.00 and the non-resident fee will be $138.00, with the exception of DMUs 001, 004, 020, 060, 068, 069, 071, and 452. For those DMUs the resident fee for an antlerless license will be $10.00 and the non-resident fee will be $100.00. Q: Why was the antlerless license fee increased? A: The legislature established the fee for all hunting licenses at $15.00 for residents and $138.00 for non-residents. The legislation provides the Director of the DNR the authority to discount antlerless license fees to help achieve the harvest of antlerless deer and meet biological objectives. The number of antlerless licenses available has been substantially decreased over the last 3 years. A discount is not needed to achieve the harvest of antlerless deer and meet biological objectives. Q: Why did deer management assistance permits (DMAP) and managed deer hunt permits (MDHP) go up in price? A: The Wildlife Conservation Order established the fee of DMAPs and MDHPs as the same fee as an antlerless license. Q: Can a youth still purchase an antlerless deer hunting license over the counter? A: Youth 12 to 16 years old (10 & 11 year olds will be included after August 10) may purchase one junior antlerless license over the counter during the public land antlerless deer license application period July 15 through August 15. Junior antlerless licenses sold prior to August 10 will have the incorrect age printed on them. Beginning August 16 private land antlerless licenses will be sold over the counter. Youths may purchase one antlerless deer license a day, up to the maximum of 3.
