When I process deer, I will not use suit but I use pork to mix with other hunters meat if they want it mixed. I use 2lbs of pork with every pound of deer meat. Caznik

When I cut this buck up. I noticed that he had a broken rear leg from a car. Thats why the rack looks a little funny. It was probly good that I took this buck out of the woods. Caz

Well this year was really great deer hunting with my muzzleloader. As you know I happen to shot a seven point and a doe on the 15th of November. Yesterday morning I took a doe. Then this morning I happen to shot another doe. Well tonight all I had was just a buck tag and I filled that tonight by shooting a five point buck. So now my freezer is full and My grandparents have meat to. I will probly be giving the five point to my parents so they have meat. My season is all over now.... It sure was fun, Caznik

Hey Steve, I went out to this morning and didn't see a thing. My brother shot a doe and your brother told me that you missed a doe this morning. Whats up with that, Caznik

Oh Ya, This year was pretty fun gun hunting the opening day. Around 8:30am my brother happen to take this nice 8 point with his Reminton 870. Then around 9:30am I seen 10 does and let them go by, then 5 minutes later my 7 point went thru right behind the does. I shot this buck with my 50 cal. knight exstream muzzle loader and shot the deer 120 yards. I didn't think I hit him at first because after I shot it just stood there and then started to walk away and then just fell. If you can see, I really wacked my nose and fore head pretty good with my scope after I shot at the deer. Man I had blood dripping all over me. Then later on I happen to take a nice doe to. Well if you can see, I don't really look like what I did when you seen me fishing. Well this is my hunting look. Good luck to all, Caznik

Well it was to nasty to go out deer hunting this morning. So I went across the road at my neighbors to go turkey hunting. Well first thing in the morning I didn't see anything and didn't here anything. So I moved about 30 yards to check out the other side of the hill. Did a few calls and then I herd some turkeys behind me where I just came from. I turned around and hid behind the big tree and seen around 50 hens. Well I took a shot at one with my Remington Auto SP-10 10 gauge and got one. A pretty nice hen. Took it home and cleaned it then my wife fixed it for dinner tonight. It was pretty good, Caznik

Ya what really is bothering me also is all the guys at work that hunt, they do not want to vote yes for proposal 3 because they think the dove should not be hunted because of the lack of meat and they are bird lovers. But yet they will go crow hunting and just leave them lay in the woods to rot.

Proposal 06-3 is "A referendum on public act 160 of 2004 - an act to allow the establishment of a hunting season for mourning doves". If approved, this act will authorize the Natural Resources Commission to establish a hunting season for mourning doves in Michigan, similar to those in our neighboring states. Hunters will be required to purchase a small game license and a $2.00 mourning dove stamp, generating additional funds for the state's conservation and preservation programs. A dove season will also generate income for local businesses and additional tax revenues for our state. Vote "Yes" if you wish to allow the establishment of a dove season in Michigan. Well members, Tell me what do you really think about this proposal for letting hunters hunt morning doves in Michigan. I been talking to alot of guys at work and they think that there should not be a such kind of hunt at all because you do not get alot of meat out of these birds and that there is other birds that we have right now that we can go out and hunt for. Well to me as a Michigan sportsman and a hunter and fisherman I do think this should pass for the hunters in Michigan to get a chance to hunt these birds. For me I will probly will not hunt them just because I have other intrest in hunting, but you have to look at the other hunter that like to get a chance to hunt these morning doves on our side of the being a Michigan Sportsman. Yes I do feed the birds in the winter and I do like to here the morning doves sing in the morning. But all of us Michigan sportsmen out here we must all stick together on everything that has to do with hunting or fishing on these type of votes. Well let me know what you think, Rich

Hey Steve, Did that buck go in our woods? My daughter and I seen a big six point but went up the hill in our woods. Im going out tonight to. See ya, Rich

Well for me Id rather shoot only bucks during the early bow season and I also this year been letting all little bucks go by and trying to only take 6 points or more. Now during gun season if I have not taken a buck with my bow yet then I have to start think about meat hunting by taking the bigger does or look for does in the late season hoofing or kicking out the small deer from the herd. So far this year I have let alot of smaller bucks go by me and have not had a shot at anything else yet. But I am getting very itchy about shooting something very soon as long it is not small. Caznik

Ya Steve, I seen 10 does and no horns Sunday morning. I also seen alot of turkeys and 3 yotes. About 9:30am I had two fawns that was right under my tree stand and man are they little. They are the ones that I seen that day I checked out my tree stands. The mother was was with them two. It was pretty cool watching that mother with her fawns. She kept pushing them with her nose and then soons they got about 20 yards the little ones started getting milk from her. Sure wish I had a camera to show everyone. Looks like we will not be shooting any does till late season there because of the fawns. Hope they can make it, Rich
