Thanks Levi, I have never seen anyone post something like this. So I thought I'd show some members how to do it. Now Member's I like to know how many members like to come over at my house to learn how to make flies. All you need to do is bring your own stuff and we can have a fly making outing. Let me know how many would be intrested in doing this so I can make a date when to. Like to help, Rich

Hi Member's, Well with my boat not ready and I still just cannot do much. I had Sea-Mac come over to make some flies Saturday. I ended up making some green flies and some purple mirage flies. While Mike made all kinds of different colors. Now I will take you step by step on how I make my flies. I know there is other ways on how to do this, but I am willing to show you member's how to make flies my way. Step one: Things that you will need is. Hard 1/8"OD emission tubing and either the rubber vacum hose or the clear hose to fit over the OD of the emission tubing. You will also need scotch tape, two 2/0 single hooks, swivels, fly making materials, beads, fly making tool with thread, and 50lb test mono. Now you do not have to use the hooks that I use or the fishing line or the size beeds that I use. But this is just the stuff I use to make my flies. Step two: Cut the fly material in half and the half that you cut. Either split it in half or use the whole thing. Then you lay it out even and spread it out some and put some scotch tape on the top half way down the top of the colored fly materieal. Cut about a 4" piece of your 1/8" emission tubing. Step three: Then you have to start rapping the tape around the top of your emision tubing. Rapp it nice and tight when you go around the tubing. Step four: Then you have to get your fly tool and start rapping the thread around you fly material just below the tape. Wrap the thread around about a 1/4" and tight the knot tight. Step five: After you get it all wraped up with your thread. Then you can take your scicors and cut off the exta material off just above your thread. Becarefull and not cut the thread. Step six: After you make your cut then you can start making the head of the fly. Just cut off about a 1/4" of the rubber hose and put it on the emission tubing and slide it all the way down to the fly material till it will not go any further. Then your fly should be able to fan outward like it suppose to. Step seven: Now it is time to put on what ever hooks you like to put on your fly and use what ever fishing line you like to use. Steep eight: After you tie on your hooks. Now you can put on whatever beads you like to use. I put on either three or four at the bottom of the fly. Steep nine: Here is the last part of making your fly. Just slid on four beads., then your fly and then put on two more beads. Then cut off whatever size of you fishing line and tie on a snap swivel. Here is all the colors that I have made: Here is Sea- Mac at work Most of your fly making stuff you need you can get at your local auto shop or ace hardware store. Your beads you can get at any craft store.

Ok Muskybob you made me get off my butt and work on this for you. Here are some pictures that I have taken so you can see what I am talking about. Picture #1 This is called a true track that you have to connect on to your downrigger cable. Picture #2 I hope you dont mind the turkeys butt in the back ground. But anyways this is how my rig is set up on my rigger. The true track is connected to the rigger cable. Then I hook up a walker release on the true track. Then your cannon ball will hook up to your walker release. I hope this will help you out some. Those walker releses I allways used and they have been very good for me. Good luck, Caznik

Hey Dave, I will buy one ticket if it will be allright with you if I pay you back at the next fishing event. Please let me know and if you like to send me a ticket I will send you my address. Thanks Dave, Rich -
Hey Plumcrazy, You forgot to put your boat on so I fixed it for you. If its not right let me know. By the way, nice boat . Rich

I run walker releases and have mine just about 7" above the cannon ball and allways works well for me. What are you fishing for with those 8lb balls. I gave up 8lb balls long time ago because of to much of the cable dragging behind the boat. If your fishing with good riggers go with 12lb. balls. You will like them much better. They keep your cable from dragging so much. Cazz

Hello Member's I just thought that I would post a new post on here so all you new member's know who I am. Well just like to say hello to all you new member's. This is a really great site and I been on here for one year now. The main man on here called GLF(Mike) he is a great guy to hang out with and to fish with to, so hope you all get a chance to meet him. My name is Rich and I have been married for 22 years to my wife named Louanne. I have two great daughters whitch are 22 and 18. My oldest is Cassie and my youngest is Nikkie. So that is where I got my member's name called CAZNIK. What I do for a living is work at Bradford Whites in Middleville Michigan where they make the #1 water heat and that is where I crimp the water heater jackets together. I been working there for nine years and really HATE it. But oh well it a job and it makes alot of money. My hobbies are hunting and fishing, it use to be drag racing but when I got married I had to sell my 69 Ford Fairlane that I really loved. My favorite fishing is probly salmon fishing on Lake Michigan and my dad taught me how to fish that way. But I rather eat a bluegill any day. My grandpa allways took me out bluegill fishing and that is how I got hooked on that. Heck when my grampa use to take me, my grandma use to pack us a lunch with beer and lemon aid. But my grampa all ways let me have a few swallows of his beer. I also love to hunt for deer, turkeys, and all kinds of small game with my oldest daughter. My favorite way to hunt is with my bow and my muzzle loader. I use to use a reminton 870, but that was to easy I allways thought. So I went with my 50 cal. knight because it had one shot and you had to make it count on the first shot. If any of you members are ever out fishing on Lake Michigan and would like a fishing report or just gang up on those salmon together to help each other. Just feel free to call me on the marine radio or Pm me for my cell number. I really like fishing with members on this site. I have taken out alot of members on here and had a great time fishing. But I must warn you I say FISH ON alot, just ask GLF. I also like to run a fishing league called the West Michigan Fishing League. I started that because I just couldn't afford those big tournaments and thought just maybe if I could get member's off this web site to have like a fun compition events that it would be fun for everyone. I have been running this league for five years now and love to see everyone just having a great time. The events I run are just $15.00 a boat and we all give out fishing info to everyone. There is no cell phone talk over where the fish are, but everyone talks on the marine radio so everyone has a chance to litsen and catch fish with everyone. So if you are ever interested in my fishing league give me a pm and I will sign you in. Well hope I can meet some of you guys and maybe fish with you. Good luck to all fishing this year, Rich (CAZZZZZNIk)

Well Member's, It sounds like the weather is going to be pretty nice this weekend. My boat is not ready to go fishing yet because I have to mount my new downriigers on. But anyways, is anyone going to give it a shot this weekend? My bet this weekend would be pretty good way down south by Indiana. Well if you get a chance to get out, just want to say good luck and catch lots of fish. Caznik
