  1. Day 5 Well it took my dad five days before he happen to get his nice big tom this year with his cross bow. It was 21lbs. and had a 9" beard with 1" spurs. My dad shot it around 8am and I tracked it for him for most of the day. I went out one time and gave up looking for it because I lost the blood trail. Then later on I happen to think more where this tom could have gone and went back out for another hour and finding it about 100 yards from where he shot it. Man I was pretty lucky finding that bird in the swamp grass we have in the back of my property. Rich Dads turkey held by my daughter because when I found it he was playing BINGO...
  2. Day 5 Well looks like I got my turkey this morning. I got out of work and raced to my woods next to huntingfool43's. I started walking in the woods towards the back part of it where I allways go deer hunting. Well all the time when I go spring turkey hunting I allways sneak up this big hill where I have to sit just in case I see any up there when I get there. Well as a snuck up the hill I seen one big tom about 20 yards in full strutt and his but pointed my way. I sat on my butt to get ready for the shot and waited for 5 min. for the tom to turn around. It wouldn't turn so I made a gobble noise with my mouth and then the toms tail feathers went down and his head and neck stretched out so I could make my shot. BANG I got my 2007 tom this year with my Remington SP-10 10 gauge. This tom was 21 lbs. and had a 9" beard with 1" spurs. Rich Caznik's Turkey

  12. Hello Member's, My plans are to help out any member that like to learn how to make some salmon flies. I am not for sure of the date yet but it will be on some Friday night. What I need to know is how many member's will be intrested in coming over to Hastings at my place to learn how to. What I will do is get a starter kit for each member for whatever fee I can get for you. I like to get four tinsel colors, beads, hard tubing, and fly tying bobins for anyone that needs one. But before I can get a price I really need to know how many members are interested into coming over to learn how to. I think it will be no more than 20-30 dollars per member for the kits, but will work on the cost as soon as I find out how many are interested. I am not making any profite on this but just like to help out members on the site how to make there own flies. I will also like to have a pot luck over here to, so there will be food for you hungry students. I will make the sloppy joes and would like who ever like to join us to bring a dish to pass to with your own beverage. So let me know very soon so I can plan on this right away. Looking at my calendar I will try and do this on May 4th at 6pm. Hurry and let me know, Rich

Well what is your biggest in your lake that you happen to catch and how is the salmon fishing up there to. I use to watch a tv show that showed how they caught lake trout up there by jigging for them. Rich

  24. Hello Member's, Well sorry for the late report but I worked third shift and went fishing right after work and by time I got home and cleaned fish, I was pretty tierd and just went to bed. Well fishing at St. Joe was very hot and it was the best time I ever had fishing there ever. The fishing was very hot and it did not matter what you put down in the water they just wanted it. My crew was Sea-Mac and Rdfishin and they are very good fishermen and I had a great time fishing with them. I cannot remember what we ended up with, but I think it was like 13 coho's, 1 king, 1 laker, and 1 brown. We started fishing around 10am and pulled lines at 3pm. Riggers worked best for us at 11-20 foot down and the two color and the three color cores worked the best for us on boards. Also the plain mono worked for us with a one ounce weight on it. Use any rapals, husky jerks, thin fins, and small or reg. sizes spoons. We fished at 30-40 foot of water all day long till we got our limit of cohos and then tried it out at 50-55 and there was nothing out there. Later on we went up in 15-20 foot of water and all we did was caught cohos while we was tring for browns, so we just went home. The lake temp was 47 deg at 30-40 foot of water and 50-55 was only 44degs. If you want to hit the big lake you better go at St. Joe because the fishing is really hot there right now. Good luck and hope you can make it out, Caznik Rdfishing reeling in a fish Rdfishing with his big 17lb. king caught on a clown huskey jerk fishing with a two color fishing rod. Cazniks crew was Rdfishing to the left and Sea-mac to the right. We took home 8 coho's, 1 brown, and 1 king. We also got check by the DNR and I asked him for a picture of him with my crew and he LOLed and went away. It was pretty funny because he didnt want his picture taken.
  25. Ok I will see you all down there on 68. Watch out for the king that has one eye missing. He is mine...
