Hello Members, Just like to say thanks to all the Charter Captains and the members on the web site for all the fishing reports everyone has been wrighting on this web site. By everyone giving out your information helps out alot of members on this web site how to plan on there next time out fishing and even a vaction this year. I know that I was the one trying to get more members and charter fishermen involved in fishing reports and sorry that I have not made to many this year. I just only have gone two times this year and hope to be able to get out more. Hello Member's, Its a late report but a good one. Last night a friend and I went fishing on a private lake called Lower Lake in Barry co. We tried to fly fish for bluegills in the channel but nothing was bitting very good so we took the boat out and went crappie fishing. Crappie fishing was very hot and we caught 42 really nice crappies 9 - 11" long. We fished with pink 1/8 ounch tube jigs and was trolling in waters of 6-10'. We fished for 2 hours and went back in. Well when we got back to the docks I was bending over to pick up the ores and then my back went out again. Man did that hurt, I went home and put ice on it and went to bed. I felt sorry for my friend because he took all the fish home and cleaned them himself. Well this morning I woke up I couldn't get out of bed or anything. So my wife going to take me to the emergency and as I was getting in my truck a sharp pain hit me and I fell to the pavement. My wife called the ambullance and picked me up. The doctor gave me some good drugs and I went back home sleeping. Waking up now just sore and hopping this will go away. Well hopefully I can get back out fishing again and have some fun. Hello, Well I decided to get out and try some blugill fishing this afternoon when I happen to wake up today. I went to Lower lake in Barry Co. where my grandpa lives and went fly fishing in the channell behind his house. I was only out for 1/2 an hour and caught 16 nice bluegills with a caznik black spider. All the fish was good size and the females was just full of eggs. If you happen to get out this week just like to say good luck and catch a lot. See ya, Caznik

Fishing last weekend was pretty fun but how much did it cost you for gas. With the prices up at $3.15 a gallon it cost me $60.00 for my truck and I have to use premeum in my boat that cost me $25.00. It sure is getting exspensive fishing on Lake Michigan this year and I will not go as much as I use to go. Rich

West Mich. Fishing League, Ok teams, Fisher Tackle Co. has donated the league 25 Sqwincheel flys for us to try out and use this year to see how we like them and to let him know how well they work. I would like at least one picture taken with these flies and send it to Fisher Tackle Co. if you happen to catch a fish on them. Member's I have herd from a few guys that there is going to be some nets at Manistee this year. Does anyone know how many and where are they going to be at. I will not fish Ludington because of all the nets just because I don't want my stuff get lost by a net. If it sounds like there is going to be alot of nets at Manistee, then I will not fish there and just go to Frankfort this year Labor Day. Lets try and keep this thread going so fishermen can know where all the nets will be at and how many. Thanks, Caznik
