I will let everyone know soons I find out that if I do have to work or not that Saturday. So here is the plans: No work Saturday- Saturday morning till 1pm If I work Saturday- 3pm till 9pm

  7. So Mike what do you think about having this now. I think it will be alot of fun and everyone just go out fishing and catch the biggest fish and weigh it. Its pretty cheap to get into this event don't you say. Rich
  8. Port Sheldon: June 23rd Hello Member's, Well I have decided to start some pre fishing tournaments for anyone that like to join in the fun. You do not have to be signed up for any of the fishing leagues at all, any member's off the site is welcome to join in on the fun. I know alot of us that are in the fishing league like to pre fish it anytime they can and as long as I am going to be there on Sunday, I might as well and go Saturday to and spend the night there and try and get two days of fishing in while I am there. I have permision to have my weigh ins at the Gold Coast takle shop in Port Sheldon and they have also gave all of us permision to clean our fish there to. All I ask is to help in on the clean up after everyone is all done cleaning there fish. I would like for everyone that like to clean there fish there is to bleed out there fish so it doesn't make a mess there. Bleeding out your fish makes it alot cleaner to clean your fish also. The only fish that will not be blead out will be your biggest fish. If you cannot bleed out your fish I'd rather not have you clean your fish there. Ok members the rules are going to be very simple and fun for all my pre fishing fun tournaments. Here is the rule's: 1- You can fish with as many rods as you like to. 2- Weigh in your biggest fish that you happen to catch that day. 3- Fishing starts anytime you can get at port Sheldon Saturday morning. Fishing will end at 1pm on Saturday afternoon. 4- Weigh in will be at the Gold Coast takle shop at 2pm. 5- The no cull rule is up to you. As a sportsman you do know what is the right thing to do. I do not want to see no dead fish thrown back at all. All fish I like to have blead out if you can to make easier fish cleaning at the weigh in. 6- The cost is simple and cheap: Every captain that like to get in this pre fishing fun tournament must buy one nitro glow stinger stingray from Gold coast takle shop. As soon as I figure out how many like to do this I will call up the owner at Gold Coast and she will make an order of lures for us. You cannot buy from anywheres else but Gold Coast tackle shop. 7- The winner with the biggest fish will receive all the nitro stinger stingrays as the prize for first place. 8- Now this is just a fun tournament event, so I hope that everyone will just have a good time fishing with each other. Our channel that everyone will be on will be 72 on the marine raidio. 9- One more thing: I am not reliable for anyone getting injurged for you and your crew, also not reliable for any damage that ever happened to happen at the DNR launch or Gold Coast takle shop if there was the case. All captains must have there own insurance for there boat and crew must all understand this rule. Just trying this so I do not have to have anyone sign a waiver. Good luck and hope that you will try this fun pre fishing tournament. Caznik Please sign up here: There is one more thing, I like to have a cook out after the weigh in. So bring your own food you like to eat for yourself and your crew and bring a grill if you can if you need to. also bring a folding chair and we can talk about what happened that day out fishing and get to know some new members if any like to join in. This is just a great way to get to know everyone that fishes in this event. Thanks again, Rich
  9. Thanks Mike, Tell you the truth....But anyways, with kids now days having parents pay for there collage for them and taking out loans for them sometimes just do not work out. Sometimes kids will not finish schooling and the parents then will have a bill to pay for nothing because there son or daughter did not finish school. Both my daughters do pay for there own school for collage and get alot of scollar ships for them if they work at it hard. I am very proud of both my daughters because they do pay for there own collage. But they do know that they do have parrents that will help them out no matter what if they need help just in case they get n trouble with bills. Nikkie found and got alot of scollar ships off the net and other ways to help her out. This year my oldest graduates from Western Michigan and she paid her own way to school and paid off for her. She is now a regestered dietion for the Hastings Thornaple Manor and takes care of old peoples food menu and gets paid alot more than I do. I must say that I am the most proudest dad there probly is right now because of my daughters. Rich
  10. Hello member's, Well I finally got one of my big things done for the year. My youngest daughter had graduated this year from high school. Also my daughter sure was alot smarter than I was in high school thats for sure. She had ended up with a 4.0 grade average and is planning on going to Central Michigan for collage and is planning on taking fashion and designing. It sure is going to be alot different now with both of my daughters gone away from the house this fall. You see with three women in the house and just me, I allways had three bosses and they were allways telling me what to do. Well she sure did alot in high school and was the vise president of her class and had to write a speach and tell everyone up on the stage. She also happen to get a $500.00 collage scallar ship for Central Michigan. Well here is some pictures of my daughters last year in school at her graduation night. My daughter Nikkie's senior picture taken at Holland by the beach. Nikkie looking pretty nervois getting here scollar ship. My daughter Nikkie telling her speach in front of everyone on graduation night with the president of the class. My daughter that was sitting to the right of the girl that has her eyes closed ended up in tears and could hardley finish her speach. She made alot of the parents in tears in the bleachers when she told her speach in front of everyone. I must say I had a few my self and was very proud of her.
  11. Welcome to the site Rob, So how have you been doing on the big lake this year so far. Rich
  12. Ok Teams, It is getting close again for our second fishing event to take place this year. Just a reminder that you must go see Mike Heckman (GLF) for your new custom flasher and fly and rules for our special new thing that we have this year. Thanks to and for taking part of being one of our major sponsor's for our fishing league this year. There is a great prize for the end of the year so please make sure that you all get alot of pictures for this special event and post them with whatever fish that you catch with there product fishing together. Thanks again Custom fishing products and Siggs Riggs for being our major sponsor's this year. If any teams has not seen this yet here is what its all about again. Custom Fishing Products and Siggs Rigs are sponsoring a big fish caught on their flasher/fly combination contest, for the West Michigan Fishing League season. The winner of the contest will receive 10 flasher/fly combinations. Every captain will receive one custom flasher/fly combo at the next event! Rules Fish must be caught on a Custom Fishing Products/Siggs Rigs fly combination. A picture of the fish with the flasher/fly combination must be taken the day of the tournament. We would prefer a picture taken when the fish is caught in the boat. This makes a much better picture with the fishing back ground. If you do not have a camera, Rich or myself will have one at the weigh in and can take your picture. You must make a post on either Great Lakes Fisherman or Michigan-Sportsman showing your fish with the flasher/fly combo. If you do not make a post with the picture, you will not be eligible.
  13. Welcome to one of the finest sites there is. So I see your from the west side. Where bouts do you fish when you get a chance to go. Caznik

  15. Well Member's, I had some bluegills frozen in my freezer that I happen to take out a few days ago and I baked them to. This time they was not deboned and all the bones was still in the fish. I thought that the bluegills boneless was better tasting then the ones with the bones in them. But anyways, if you do bake them with bones and not boneless. It takes 15 min. for each side to get them cooked all the way at 375 deg. They was still good to me, Caznik
  16. Trust me, I thought that I was nuts baking my bluegills and crappies. It was so good that I will never fry another pan fish again. MMMM Good, Caznik
  17. Hello Member's Well I been trying to go on a diet and thought that I would try and bake some pan fish instead of frying them up. Well today I tried it and man it tast alot better than fried fish. Well here is how I did it with bluegills and crappies. 1- Clean your pan fish and rise off good. Then put them on a board to let dry off. Make sure that fish are bone less for your smaller kids to eat. 2- The things that you will need to have is. A baking pan, and a dish to put your flour into so you can mix the fish in. Now the flour that I use is called fry magic and I use it alot for all my fish and other big game also. You must try this flour because it has all the seasoning in it and you do not have to add any salt or pepper to your food. 3- Set your oven at 375 deg. and then put your fish in the bowl that you have filled with your fry magic flour mix. Shake your bowl really good with the fish in it. Spray your baking pans with some cooking spray and then you can put your pan fish on your baking pans. Turn your timer on for 10-13 min. and put the pan fish in your oven. When your timer go's off, turn your pan fish over and set your timer for 5 more minutes. 4- After your fish gets all baked, this is what they should all look like. I had my wife, both my kids, and my youngest daughter's boyfriend over. With all of us here I didn't have enough fish for me to eat. They was so good that they couldn't stop eating them. Looks like I will have to catch alot more fish so I can have some for me... Well hpefully you will take some time and try this out. I mean it is really good and really good for you to. Till then hope you can get out and take your family out fishing. Fish on, Caznik:nyam:
  18. Hello Member's, Well I made it back out again this morning and just hopping my back would hold up for me. I have to now take a folding seat cushion with me and fish in my small boat. Well anyways, fishing was very good this moring and my buddy and I ended up with 35 nice blugills and crappies. The bluegills all hit on fly rods with the black caznik spiders. The crappies was hitting on the pink 1/8 ounce tube jigs trolling slow in 10' of water. The lake we was fishing at was a private lake called Lower Lake in Barry Co. Well hope you all will enjoy your Memorial weekend and sure hope that you get a chance and get out and fish this weekend. See ya soon on the big pond someday, Caznik
  19. Thanks Terry, But this week and the next I will be busy getting ready for graduation and hopping my back holds up. The ride to the emergency in the ambleance was not fun at all. Thanks again, Rich
