Fish On, I had a problem with my boat last weekend with my sending unite gasket leaking and it must of been leaking for a long time and I didn't know it till I took the floor apart. Well I put a new gasket on with a new sending unite and I still smell gas pretty bad and allmost gets you sick and give you a headach out fishing. I pretty sure I must have a gas film all on the bottom of my boat by now and wondered if there was some kind of stuff I can dump on the bottom of the boat and fill up with some water and take off down the road and swish it all around. Please let me know if you can help me out so I can take care of this gas smell. Thanks, Caznik

Hello Fishing League Teams, Well today I just got some news that we have another new sponsor for the fishing league this year. Muskegons Sportfishing Associations has donated us $300.00 for the fishing league for prizes to get at Captain Garys. Hello Member's Well I had the first pre fishing tournament at Port Sheldon Saturday and it was pretty fun. There was lots of nice fish caught and I just couldn't beleve how nice the fish were being caught in the month of June. Most the time June is a tuff time to fish on Lake Michigan. Well here is your results: 1st Place- Far Beyond Driven: 15.3lbs. King 1st Place- Plumkrazy: 15.3lbs. King 2nd Place- Paulywood: 14.15lbs. King 3rd Place- Sea- Mac: 14.11lbs. King 4th Place- Hunt4ever: 12.6lbs. Steelhead 5th Place- Caznik: 10.5lbs. King 6th Place- Dirty Dog: 9.11lbs. Laker For this tournament there was a tie and the next time I do this there will be a tie breaker. I just didn't think it could of been possible to even have a tie for this tournament. Well for the prizes, everyone had to buy one Stinger Stingray Nitro spoon and the team with the biggest fish won them all. Those life vest are the worst thing to have on a kid. The best ones that I allways kept on my kids was those kind that the kids just hate to have on. Those big bulky kind that I have in my boat Mike. If I was you I'd call up the coast gaurd and ask them what the best type for your kids to have on them.

Downrigger's and dipseies work fine. But now days with the water so clear. You better start thinking about getting and running some core rod set ups. Full core, half core, and even two color cores you should allways have in your boat and running. I told myself that I'd never buy any cores because its sometimes a pain to run with all the boats. On the news yesterday they said that you could see the space shuttle and the space station last night in the sky at 10:30pm last night. I hurried up at work and told a friend there about it and we both was looking at the sky. At 10:30pm we both seen it and it was pretty cool. If I only new that it was that close and that good to see that I would of taken some pictures of it. Cazzzz

As far as I know you cannot. Last year I talked to Gold Coast and Michelle had a gobie fishing tournament and she told me that the DNR got on her case about it. She was told that nobody can transport any invasive species out of Lake Michigan. Sounds pretty stupid to me, but it has something to do with putting them in your live well and going to another inland lake with out washing out your live wells. Cazzz

When I run two color core's. I let out 90' of mono, then my 2 color core whitch is 10 yards per color, then I let out 55' of more mono and set your board up. I like to run either stick baits or spoons on this set up if I was trying to catch steelheads or browns. Orange colors are my best fishing for steelheads. Cazzzz

Well Teams, This weekend is our second fishing league event. So what is your thoughts of catching fish for either Saturday or Sunday. If everything go's right and I don't have to work on Saturday. Fishing the pre fishing tournament I think as longs it going to be calm seas. My plans are to motor up to Grand Haven and try that 50-70' of water in the morning. For Sunday it all depends on saturday, so if its good on Saturday at Grand Haven I will probly fish there again on Sundays fishing league tournament. If its not good fishing at Grand Haven I will just fish probly south at Port Sheldon. So whats your battle planns for this weekend? Cazzzz

Well guys looks like smoking a ham is a tough job. I talked to the butcher and he told me that I have to cure it and inject it and then leave it in the fridge for 4 days. What I am going to get is a whole hog leg and smoke that. He said it would be around 15-20lbs. I will all let you know how this worked out for me and let you all know. He also said it would take 12 hrs to smoke it. Oh well, I will give it a go, Rich

I like to fish at Frankfort most of the time when ever I get the chance to. If you can come on down and get in some of the outings that we have and some of our fishing events.
