Hello Member's, Just happen to get back from fishing Frankfort this weekend and boy was it a blast. Fishing was very good on Friday night and saturday morning. But Saturday night was not so good and we left pretty early. Well we went out fishing Friday night and went 5-7 with all kings and our smallest king being 12lbs. Our biggest king went 23lbs and looks like that is our biggest catch of the year so far in my boat. Friday the waves was pretty ruff but fishable for me, but didnt want to take out the other guys in that crap. So we fished in the harbor for a little bit. Our biggest fish we caught was right in the harbor then later on a boat was going in whitch made me wonder outside the pier heads and caught our 2nd fish. While we was still out of the harbor we hooked up more fish and went right back in because it was getting pretty dark out and the waves was 5' and bigger.... Saturday morning it was really busy out there. That day there must of been 100 or more boats out there. Well we ended up being 3-10 that morning and had a great time even though we didnt bring in alot of fish. Saturday night was a circus out there because there was so many boats out there. For the first time ever, I had to park my truck out in the street for allmost 1 mile from the boat launch because there was no room to park in there. Si I told the guys that we was going to stop fishing earlly just because I didnt want to wait all night long launching my boat. That night we went 0-0 in the harbor. Our hotest baits was: Silver and green J- Plug Green scally J Yellow tail Moon shine NGK Down riggers went- 9'-20' down Dippseys went 100 back The water has rolled over up there. so good luck if you get a chance to go fishing up there. Everytime this year I like to go North and fish in waters of 100 and later go out deeper. As of right now from the Herring hole to Point Besti is hot and you have to start in waters of 120'. I cannot wait to go up there is Friday... Gotta go FISH ONNNN

Thanks Mike for setting up this Stinger tournament this year. I must say my crew and I had a very hard time even getting a knock off till 8:30am and from there never had any hot action going. We just pick one fish off seems like every 30 or 45 minutes. But at 10:55am we caught our biggest fish out of the five fish we weighed in. I put the boat in nutral and reeled in all the lines so I can get in at the weigh in by 12:30. It was fun fishing with everyone, Caznik

To all the teams, Just want to let everyone know that if I cancel this tournament for August 26 that I will let everyone know by 6pm Saturday the 25th. I will have a member post it up for me on the web site at 6:30pm on Saturday the 25th of August. Now I want everyone know that I will cancel all tournaments if it calls for anything like 10-20 knots and 15-25 knots and anything that says 2-4 foot waves or bigger for the morning hours. I want everyone to have fun fishing and nothing go wrong and anyone getting from getting hurt out there. So if you are planning on staying the night at Muskegon to fish this tournament then you better look yourself and make your own decision if you think it is worth it or not. Because I will cancel any tournament that I feel is not safe for anyone. I will get the latest wave report as possible before I do make any decision on any cancelations. Now if anyone cannot make this event please let me know as soon as possible. I was told that the Gold Coast tourney is on Saturday the 25th and if that gets canceled then they will have it on Sunday the 26th. I am not canceling this tournament because others want to fish the Gold Coast tourney. So if you have to fish the Gold Coast tourney on Sunday and cannot make the fishing league because of it. 2007 Battle Of The League's West Michigan Fishing League Vs. St. Joe Fishing League Date:Sunday August 26th at Fisherman's Landing(Be there at 4:30am sharp to pay your entry fee.) Blow Date:Sunday September 9th at Fishermans Landing. It will be a DBLE tournament. Weigh In:At Fisherman's Landing. No Charter Captains Simple Rules For 2007: 1- Must pay entry fee at 4:30am(If you cannot make it and you think that you will be late than please call my cell phone) 2- All fishing events start at 5 am and must pull lines at 11am. 3- Weigh in starts at 12:30(If you get called two times at the weigh in and you are not there. You will be DQed 4- Cost is $15.00 a boat.($5.00 of it gos towards big fish) 5- All boats must only use 6 rods 6- 2-4 Man teams(If you have 4 or more fishermen in your boat as a team you can only catch a 3 MAN LIMIT) 7- Weigh in 5 fish of any kind (salmon, coho, steelheads, browns, and lakers) 8- Each fish you bring in at the weigh in is 10 points each.(Up to 5 fish) 9- Make sure when you weigh your big fish for the big fish prize money that you know what fish is your biggest.(NO CHECKING AT THE SCALES) 10- NO - CULL RULE- If you net the fish or box the fish you must keep the fish. There will be no more throwing back fish or less they are under size. If you limit out on kings you might as well go in, because you are most likley to get kings most of the time anyways.
