We were out as well and fought 3 ft waves. suppose to be calm to 1 ft. Wish we could get a accurate wave report.

Has anyone have experience with a Cannon Digi-Troll 4 downrigger linked with the transducer that keeps the ball a set distance off the bottom. Sounds like a great idea for getting those bottom hugging fish Did they work well? Where they reliable? Any input is appreciated.

Fished last night 6/4 as well out of Grandhaven. We started deeper set in at 150 trolled out to 210. Did not mark many fish and no bite. On the troll in we marked a fair amount of fish around 130. Took 2 kings in that depth. 1 big king on a wire diver out 60 with a mountain dew spinny with a meat rig. other smaller king came on a downrigger down 40 ft with a blue / purple flounder pounder. Speed at ball was 2.5 Covered a lot of water for 2 fish. but at least did not get skunked. and was a beautiful night to fish.

I have a Lowrance LCX-28C-HD I am replacing the transducer as I think the existing one is weak. I can purchase either a 83 / 200 or a 50 /200. These are the same transducers on the current HDS units Any recommendations?

When you are lengthening the lead do you just add line to the current lead or do you use new line right from the treble hook?

I have heard people using longer leads like 48" or more between a flasher or spin doctor and a fly while others use shorter leads like 18" Any recommendations? I fish Lake Michigan around Grand haven and Port Sheldon
