New to this type of fishing

Hi my name is David and I'm new to great lakes fishing and any help would be great. I have rigged a new boat to me but it is a 1994 Lund Baron 2150 I have 2 cannon mag 10 downriggers, planer board mast, marine radio, eagle gps, hummingbird fish finder. I may be forgetting something but if anyone thinks I need something to be safe on the water please let me know. I have 2 kids that like to fish and I want them safe ages are 15 and 16.
