We have been out of salmon fishing for quite some time. We are getting back in again. It used to be all down riggers and dipsy's. Now everyone is talking copper and lead. However, it seems more are talking copper than lead now. We have most everything purchased except for the rods reels and line. Leaning towards okuma convectors, but want input on rigging them. Lead? Copper? Type? Lengths? Fishing out of Grand Haven if that helps. Thanks.

Used to do alot of this, it was a blast. The up all night got a bit rough. Likely will be doing some of it this spring. Thanks for posting the video.

I was in Lake City yesterday, Shanty's were abundant.

There is a Cabelas going in in Saginaw as well, it is supposed to be open about the same time or a bit before I think, Has anyone heard about the Gander Mountain in saginaw doing the same thing?

There were some pretty decent deals, but yesterday already the stuff was going out by the cart full. I heard one guy saying it was going to be a long night getting it all on Ebay. Too bad they are getting rid of the fishing department there. They were always helpful.
