Where/when/how is the best way to get flares? Sounds silly, but I have been looking to buy a couple times at brand name stores and the flares are already months and months old. They sure don't give them away and when I see the old arse dates on them I get ticked.

It was tuff fishin' for sure but I still had a good time with my brother JD and Truman. First time skunk for me since I got back into Big Lake fishing(like 4 seasons) but it sure wasn't for lack of effort. Don't usually get out this late in the season so I wasn't to disappointed, to get out at all is a blessing! Weather was fantastic, waves were taller than predicted. Docks are still in, out house is open, Big lot/cleaning station closed! Maybe a trip or two left ??????????

Brother JD, Tough questions. I at one point in time was going to go to a 2 vehicle program as well. Park Ave for every day and a Suburban my buddy had for towing and harsh winter conditions. Kinda came down to my thoughts of twice the maintenance, more insurance and just more congestion of the driveway. I kept thinking, "Not one,..but 2 oil changes, not 4, but 8 new tires, not one brake job, two!" You get my point. Money was an issue so I had to pass on the Sub. Just some food for thought. Was a great outing. Very tolerable when the wind laid down but I must say thank goodness for hand warmer packets! I had 6 of them bad boys scattered through-out my body! Brother JD put us on fish once again. Good times!

Thanks for taking me brother. You worked hard but hey we got some nice silver! Way better day than weather people predicted and not a lot of traffic. Met a couple site members at the cleaning station that I knew were good guys because one of them had a muskie shirt on Good times!!
