Got late start out port sheldon around 7:00 am.started in 160 fow and ran out to 200 fow.found most fish were in the 170 fow to 185 fow at sw troll went 2/3 1-laker and and 1-19lbs king.caught laker on a orange and gold stinger spoon and king on a blue dolphin mag spoon.caught king on down rigger set at 156 fow and laker on 10 color lead core.was solo on this trip so only had three lines out felt good to be out first time out with big boat.ran 2.2 to 2.7 troll speed and water temp was 39.2 degress on fish hawk at 150 fow.

Went out Sunday out of Grand Haven launch at Harbor Island,they have 1 ramp in and water, level still very low so used my 14 footer.Went South of pier running in 8-32 fow and marked a few but only caught 1-10foot 2 by 12 board that I kept and going to mount in back of my shed to hold old paint,lol,still felt good to get out.

  6. Thinking about installing a raymarine autopilot on my 19 foot trophy this year,it has a outboard 115 merc with manual steering,and am wondering if this would work ok on a smaller boat.any thoughts would be appreciated.

  11. Got out last night at 6:00pm set first line. Started in 220fow and ran out to 250fow straight west.Marked fish in the 235fow at 140fow to 180fow.Had 1 fish on and lost it.Took hit on mag spoon orange and red with silver back on downrigger set at 155fow.Water temp was 46-50 degress at 145fow.Waves picked up and had to head in so only fished to 7:45 and pulled lines.Going out again tonight.
  12. I recommend running both copper and lead core also, and letting the fish tell you what they want. Keep in mind you may want to use a larger planer board with copper if using this as youre outside line.
