  1. I was wondering how things were going out there with the wind and waves. Better day tomorrow for you. I hate it when those little characters take you equipment home with them. I'll check with you in the am if your out Sunday.
  2. Looks like it could made it to the 20 mark. Congratulations anyway, timing is everything. You were in the right place with the right presentation.
  3. The scales faked all over the place and the spots were very hard to see and few as you described. Thanks, I have learned alot.
  4. Working my deck next couple of days, probably won't get out until Sunday am, but whenever I'm out I'll give a quick call.
  5. The blue kerchief on the left is from my Golden Retriever who passed away in February. He was a great dog I had for a lucky 13 years. He fishes with me whenever I go out.
  6. If you look a little underneath of the lower part of the helm wheel you will see my Raymarine Autopilot I install. The 6hp outboard is just incase my main motor stops. I have a troll plate, but never use it unless I really want to go real slow. With the boat in gear and the throttle back it trolls at about 1.9 to 2.3 sog. I use the I-pilot when I'm jigging or trolling for walleye on small rivers and lakes and want to keep the noise to a minimum.
  7. 16 1/2' Crestliner Sport Angler. I bought it used about 3 years ago. I installed all the electronics and even added an autopilot on it last year. I did all the rigging also. I think the only things I'm missing now are radar and missle launchers? Easy to one man launch and retrieve. Still, catching fish requires knowing your species and the environment, but improving your setup makes it somewhat easier. I can put alot of rods on the boat, but only 3 in the water.
  8. I have a short base antenna looks like a CB antenna. I scan the channels so I can usually hear everyone. I didn't hear your handle, so I figured you were probably at work otherwise I would have given you a shout. Wife and I love it over here in Holland.
  9. It was a beautifil day out there, the lake was so flat
  10. It's 1st one I ever caught. Now if I can only get a brown trout.
  11. I ran just farther north then you. About 1/2 way between ps and holland. As like you lots of marks few biters. Hits were on a uv dolphin spoon. I forgot my meat rigs but not the meat. Stuck the meat into two bw flys. They held in, but the fish could have cared less. Not one bite on them. Fish seemed to want spoons this morning. I don't know if they were in an official meat rig if it would have made any difference?
  12. Maybe it was a coho with that combination of dark mouth and light gums. I know that steel heads typical have that square tail. The whiter gums and the way it ran along the side of the boat when I netted it, acted more like a steelhead, but i agree with you that tail is too forked for a steelhead. Thanks.
  13. My error, it was a 6.94 # steelhead. The gums were more white upon closer inspection. Had another hit 10 minutes later but it shook the lure loose. I thought things might break loose and I would get a few more, but that was not going to be the case. I was 2.5 sog on a nw troll. The lake was beautiful today. 1/2 on the scoreboard.
  14. 9:15am pulled in 5-6# king in 135 fow, on dr 40ft down, 20ft back on uv blue dolphin. Started at 630am
  15. In his originally post he had written "nw" after I mentioned the error he changed it to "NE". I was just trying to follow the story. Still a great catch with good detail Thanks
  16. Didn't realize sheep got so big over on this side.
  17. Was your 2nd pass in a different area much further then you thought? Great catch regardless, congratulations.
  18. Why do you think the fish bit on the second pass but not the first
  19. Fished 9am-1:20pm 2 for 2, kings in 120 and 130 fow. 3# and 4#. 1st on 300 32# copper, sog 2.8, sw troll with blue bones spoon. 2nd one on se troll, sog 2.1, braided diver set on 3, 120bk w/ meat rig grn/white/dots. The 1st caused quite a tangle up between a 45# 250 cu, 32# 300 cu and wire diver. Surprised me, because I thought it would have been a much bigger fish. . I had to do some wire cutting to keep the fishing going. 3 ft waves at the time about 6.5 miles off shore. We were out to 200 but started in 80fow.
  20. Fished 6-10:30 6-17 0/3 what a heart breaker of a day. Lost a beautiful king at the boat jumping the net. Lost another hit (?) when my guide broke as I bought in the fish cutting the line. Finally, a shaker earlier in the am. All hits were on stinking old meat rigs, sw and w trolls at 2.7 sog, braided diver set 3 back 140 with a net minder sd(155'). Others were DR down 80 back 40' in 179 fow. Nothing hitting on LCs 5c. Started in 65ft trolled west. Meant Windy II today.
  21. Stopped at 90' on my way out. Water temp was warm all the way to the bottom. Headed for deeper water. Marked many, but no biters until I started a SE troll from 175'
