  1. Late start 9:30am-1:30pm, 1 for 2, 8.22# king off dr down 89' back 60 with green uv meat rig and wonderbread sd. Bite was at 12:38pm. Sog 2.2. South troll in 124fow. 2nd hit was on a wire diver meat rig blue ice, back 130 set 2 with glow green pearl flasher. Fish spit it out after a short struggle. 1:30pm time of hit. 95 fow.
  2. Did you have alot of marks on the graph?
  3. Great catch. The heavier guys always seem to come out during the late morning to midday. Now my wife will tell me she can sleep in! Do you see the problems you guys are causing me, with such a great story.
  4. If we didn't have tough days/nights fishing. We wouldn't ) appreciate the good ones as much. It's the old adage "that why they call it fishing, not catching". There is always tomorrow.
  5. Did you have alot of weeds on your lines that you had to pull your lines into clear?
  6. What was the time of the bites?
  7. It's a Moonshine 3.75" length spoon, but not a casting spoon. It is heavy. You would think it would be, because of the weight.
  8. Fished 6-11 I thought I was going to give my lures a good washing today. Very few marks. Did the 80-120 fow trip down to tunnel park, which was turning out to be very uneventful. Picked alot of weeds off my lures. Then as luck would have, some 6# plus size steelhead, decided to throw himself upon my hook. That was it, nothing afterwards. Good thing I took a previous blogger advice and sharpened my hooks. Thanks! With all that said, hit came at 8:54am, in 120 fow on a 200 copper (32#) with a mongolian beef spoon super glow 4", north troll, 2.7 sog, water temp 72.
  9. What a scorecard you got today. I guess the morning bite is back! Congrats
  10. I have used all brands. I noticed the ones using the bathroom chain seem to break or untie the easiest. Maybe I'm just not letting the fish tire out enough. I brought several catches hand over hand right to the boat within my grasp at times only to have the rig break at the skirt or untie at the connection to the chain right in front of me as I was netting the fish.
  11. 0 for 2, 80-110 fow, 1st was a SteelHead, jumped high in the air and slipped my caramel spoon mag size on my 8 color adjustable lead core, full out this time as I pulled him in, south troll, 2.4 sog. 2nd was a king, broke my green uv meat rig just above the top skirt, at least I still got my sd. Sw troll, 2.4 sog off rigger down 65, bk 60. I think I should have let him run longer to wear him out. It seemed too much pressure on the meat rig line. I have had several break on me lately. I'm very disappointed in their quality since they seemed to have changed their tying process. I have used all brands. I have had them break in all areas up and down the rig in the skirt areas and when they tie them to their swivels if one is part of the setup. Very crowded at the launch ramp. Good thing the "Littleboat" was able to maneuver thru the mess. Great night otherwise.
  12. Tough seas, nice catches. Larger boat, Four Winns made the trip?
  13. Nice catch and pictures. Did you have alot of bait markings?
  14. Good job! Congrats on the nice size catch.
  15. Fished 5-9:30pm, went south this evening. 80-105 fow 1 for 1, 9.6# king salmon Fish hit at 7:41pm, 101fow, on green uv meat rig, net minder sd, braided dipsy, set on 1, 130bk, north troll, sog 2.5. I marked bait everywhere. I'm surprised anyone caught anything.
  16. What's are you using on the end of the spindoctor for a lure/bait? Nice size chinook!
  17. Sounds like a well coordinated setup. How waving does it have to get before you worry about lines tangling , especially in strong currents and turning?
  18. Fished from 6-9pm Lake was flat, 1 for 2, 1st hit a steel head 6:30 pm, jumped 6-8 feet out of the water. Lost him as he tangled my board into my dipsy and slipped the hook. He hit my 200 copper 32#.with a green NBK spoon, sog 2.5, sw troll in 94fow. 2nd was a 6.3# king, on a dipsy with a green/pearl 8" flasher and green uv meat rig, se troll, 2.6 sog. 1st time I was able to put 6 rods in the water, when the wife came on the littleboat. Beautiful night.
  19. Were you seeing alot of bait marks? As many as the other 2 nights?
  20. Fished 6:00-9pm 1/1 lake trout on dr with blue ice meat rig and green pearl sd, down 79, back 50 in 91fow on sw troll. 2.5sog. Hit came at 6:30 as soon I put it in the water. Lots of bait in area. Nothing after that, not even a bump. Lake was flat. Beautiful evening. Fish was 7.09# covered 80-128 fow
  21. Real nice catch and great pictures! What was your surface temperature?
  22. It is a brave crew that faces the peril of the seas and brings back gold. May the fish be with you.
