  1. I don't get that format unless I'm doing it from my desktop.
  2. I used my desktop to post the pics. The GLF wasn't accepting my android phone attachments.
  3. Four trailers in the lot this afternoon. A little ice across the channel. Boats must be at the end of the channel or on the lake. I couldn't see them.

  4. North wind blew the ice to the southside today, blocking the channel. That's something to think about, when you try to get back in. A wind shift could really ruin your day, especially on the way back to the launch. March 20th 1st day of Spring.
  5. Lots of chopped bergs in the lake. Check my pics.
  6. Evidently the attachment process is still not working for the Android phones. Stopped by the PS today and snapped a few.
  7. Ice looked a little thin but there were two brave souls out there?
  8. All of the launch is frozen in and about 20% of the lake. Zoom in the picture to see better, since I almost got stuck at the gate.
  9. 1-4pm with tbutcher, 1 for 2, fished cranks/spoons down the channel around the entrance then headed nw 3mph sog to 60fow..nothing. Turned headed se approx 50 fow had 1st hit small coho at 2:45pm on lime dipsy back 50, set 3 with 12ft lead using slim blue jerry lee spoon w/feathers sw of harbor entrance. 2nd hit lost 25 feet from boat est 5# (steel or coho), on mag green jeans w/feathers on orge slide diver set 2 1/2, back 50', w 30ft lead, 2:58pm, 47 fow 2.9 sog. Lake temp. 48 on top 47.6 bottom. Got too cold to stay much longer. Putting the boat away until spring. Great season, meant alot of nice people being new to the area. Looking forward to an early spring.
  10. Do you remember the time of the bites?
  11. Dnr ramp still in?
  12. Surface temp was 49. Big DR hit was on carmel spoon w/skirt which shook the hook. Little coho was on double glow yellow tail w/skirt. Didn't have ability to read depth\temps today. Great time inbetween 3,4 and occasional 5 ft roller. Lucky, no chop. Lake did finally settle down somewhat 2-3 footers.
  13. Are you docked on the southside?
  14. I tied it with 210 type red thread. It is also glued during the process. It seems to flare out when I pull it thru my sink basin, but needs a good speed test.
  15. I added a red streamer and copper flashabou to my cyconite spoon. I'll do some other types patterned spoons and see if there is a trend toward the spoon or the pattern on the spoon. Hopefully the winds will die down next week.
  16. Your spoons are nice. It looks like you slipped a small tube over the flashabou once it was added to the treble and cemented it or did you fly tie it on? Did you add any paint on the spoons themselves?
  17. It's a humminbird 998, but all the manufacturers have it with various modules or built into the unit. Before I started fishing, diving and finding shipwrecks was my hobby/passion. I found several major shipwrecks previously undiscovered in the great lakes, from schooners with their masts still standing to old steamers. They ran from 120 ft long to 240 ft. It was fun.
  18. Nice catch, you got them just in time!
  19. Me too. 1st time on muskegon since we moved here in February. But I did find 3 small boats, remains of a possible schr, wood logs and old dockage superstructure
