  10. Fished 20-40fow south of piers, picked up only hit (Steelhead, 9.45#) in 37 fow on 4C with silver orange NBK ladder back. He hit just as I finished letting the 4C out. Marked lots of fish, but no takers after that. Cold water was definitely in close. 1ft waves.

  16. Strange day today, I believe I cleaned the lake up a bit while fishing. Here's the score: 1/1 coho on chicken wing regular, DR down 85, in 132fow, sog 2.4@ball, temp 45.1, east troll. 2/2 on potato chip bags on other rigger, can't remember the spoon, but all I added was the sauce and two bags of chips showed up on it. 1/1 on DR again, this time bringing up a 15ft red construction ribbon. That chicken wing was popular today.

  19. 0 for 1, lost steelhead on board, with 4 color. He ran around with it and as I tried to bring it in a little quicker, he was able to spit the hook out of my waternelon spoon. Fish were on the otherside of the lake for me today otherwise. I fished 50-150fow, north and south of Port Sheldon zig-zaging and straight trolls. Lots of lure changes. Question though? I was using an Offshore yellow board and I have it set to release but stay where it is on the line. I like that setup. Now, the question I have. what is the best process to bring in the fish ( in this case the steelhead I lost) crank normal until you can reach the board and remove it from the line, then fight the fish or crank it quickly to the board then fight the fish? Should I have let the fish set the hook better before I do either method? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App
  20. How was the wave action? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Great Lakes Fisherman Mobile App

(King) 1/1 on 4C, with veggie spoon. 2.5 sog, south troll, surtemp 64, 77 fow, hit as we pulled up the line at boat stern (coho) Lake went from 3ft rollers to flat. Lots of marks. My friend Al joined me today from the other side of the state for a nice fishing day. Also, the bugs were TERRIBLE!
